Staying Organized with Name Bubbles This Holiday Season

I love decorating my home top to bottom each year. But I hate the cleanup. Having a place for everything and everything in its place makes the process easier whether we are getting it out or putting all the decorations away. So started utilizing an organization system for my Christmas decorations a few years ago. I noticed that if I didn't put things away correctly that they would end up messed up or broken. Some of my decorations mean so much to me so I want to take special care of them.

6 Things to Add to Your Home to Prevent It from Becoming Cluttered

It's easy for a home to become cluttered. In fact, it can be downright difficult to keep on top of things when there are so many distractions! But with a few simple changes, you can make your home less cluttered and more organized. Here are six things that you can add to your space to help prevent clutter from taking over!

Make It Work: Creating A Storage Haven in Your Garage

If your family garage is more of a dumping ground, where old Christmas decorations go to get lost; you are not alone. The hustle and bustle of family life often leads to a particular space in the home being used to leave what you just don’t want to look at. It’s then so easy for those items and clutter to pile up, so much so that many can’t fit their car in their garage anymore. However, if you take a step back to look at the space; behind all those months and years of clutter, is quite a sizable space that’s being underutilized and not appreciated at all.

Therefore, it could be time to think about how that space could be better used. It’s unlikely you’re going to be paying for the right insulation, plastering, and everything else that would go into making it a new living space. So, maybe it’s time to really get stuck into clearing out and making the most of all that potential in your garage! The following are some ideas to help you get started on project garage so that you can enjoy an organized storage space that works for the whole family.

How to Make Stay at Home Mom Life More Productive

I had to learn “how to be a stay at home mom”. It is a life that relies on consistency and schedule whether you like that life or not. That was the only way I found I could get anything done. It is also a job that requires you to think on your feet and go with the flow, regardless of what “has to get done” that day. And it can be a job that is mentally draining. Here are some of my tips on how to make stay at home mom life more productive.

Tips On Organizing Your Kid's Bedroom

Make Labeling Fun with StickerKid {Review & Giveaway}

I received complimentary products to provide this review. All opinions are my own.

My daughter is starting Kindergarten in the fall. Can I cry now? It is CRAZY how fast time is flying by! With going to "big girl" school, she will need more things than she did in preschool. Snack bags, pencil box, back pack. All these things that she didn't have in preschool and they need to be LABELED. So when I was contacted by StickerKid to provide a review, I was very excited because I knew she would need labels.

Sticker Kid has some very cute styles and designs to choose from. My daughter is very girly. She loves unicorns, rainbows, cupcakes, and princesses. They also have so many different size labels to choose from. I decided on the Camp Labels Pack of 150 labels which includes 44 medium labels, 14 shoe labels, 60 small labels, and 32 iron-on clothes labels.

Our New Bedroom: Decluttering, Organizing, and More

I received complimentary products from Cariloha mentioned in this post. All opinions are my own.

Since so many of you have been asking for pictures about our new room since our massive purge and my sneak peak pictures on Instagram, I thought I would share with all of you. We organized a ton and still have a ways to go. We did the most work on our room. It was the room we were ignoring the most, so it was time. We also bought a new bedroom suit from Rooms-To-Go since we have never bought one for ourselves and our mattress was over 20 years old...YUCK! This was our Christmas, Birthdays, and Anniversary present to our selves. LOL

We also got some new bed sheets from Cariloha. I received the Classic Bamboo Bed Sheets Set in Ivory to review. Cariloha specializes in making products out of bamboo fabric such as clothing, sheets, towels, etc.

Bath Time with Hurley Hippo

I received this product complimentary to provide an honest review. All opinions are my own. Contains affiliate links.
Bath time in our house is not only a part of our nightly routine, it is also a big part of our play. We not only take a bath when the kiddos are dirty, but as a way to calm them down when nothing else will. We have quite a few bath toys and I am always looking for a good storage system. That's why I was excited when I received the Hurley Hippo Bath Toy Organizer from Cheraboo to review.

My biggest concern with this bath toy organizer was the material it is made of. I thought it was foam at first. Hurley is actually made of quick drying, phthalate free synthetic rubber. Plus with a mesh net, water just drains straight through so you don't have to worry about mold and mildew on the organizer or your children's bath toys.

Yard Sale Season in Full Force!

I am not a 'yard saler'. You know those people who no matter what they were doing the night before will get up at 6 am every Saturday during the Spring and Summer to make sure they don't miss any good deals. I know people who are. And they score some pretty amazing finds...they also bring home a lot of junk.

I am having my FIRST yard sale. My husband works at a Kroger store, as most of you already know, and every year they donate to Children's Miracle Network. Well, this year they are having a yard sale in the parking lot! For only $25 you can buy a parking spot (all proceeds go to Children's Miracle Network). PLUS there is a Good Will in the shopping center. So once the sale is over, you can get a tax deduction by making a donation there. :)

I am very excited to get my spare bedroom back. There are mounds are baby clothes. I am very fortunate to have so many people in my daughter's life who are willing to buy things for her and that hand down their hand-me-downs.

I am also excited about getting my garage back. I miss parking in my garage. Especially on those cold mornings or when it's raining. And this Georgia heat is terrible for my paint job.

The issue is, I only have until June 2nd to get everything together. JUNE SECOND! I have 5 days! I have already started although I only found out earlier this week. Here are some pictures of my progress:

(I know, not very accomplished...YET! :] )

So if you would like to get a parking spot of your own, go to the Griffin Kroger and make a great donation for only $25. You can get rid of your unwanted stuff and make some money of your own in the process. And if you don't want to buy a spot, still drop by and see if there is something that you could use. :)

To Do List Week 2

You can click on the image to view it larger.

Ok so I didn't get around to calling the exterminator to get a contract on the house. I have had a LOT going on and that was the last thing on my mind.

BUT my goal for this week is to straighten up the office. This is going to be Sweet Pea's nursery but before we can move anything out, as you can see, we need to clear up the little things. We will be moving the desk and large bookshelf into our bedroom. The TV into the spare bedroom. And we will also need to get a ceiling fan installed (to reduce the risk of SIDS). As you can see we also need new blinds too. lol But that will all have to wait until later because as of right now I'm going to have my hands full trying to sort through all this junk.

I was watching that show hoarders and it made me want to do this SO BAD! So maybe I will actually get on top of it. :]

On another note, I need a new camera. Mine is officially broken. It won't even turn on! So before baby Sweet Pea gets here, I'm definitely going to have to get one.

To Do List week 1 & 21 weeks along

So the idea is to cross off something from list each week until the baby comes. I'm sure I'll add things to the list as time goes on but for this week I'm going to try and get a contract on the house for an exterminator. I'll let ya know if I get that done.

As of yesterday I am 21 weeks along. If you know anything about pregnancy they say you are pregnant for 9 months but they also say you are pregnant for 40 weeks, and that's more like 10 months. So that's why I (and most others) count by weeks.

How far along? 21 weeks and 1 day (as of today)

Total weight gain: about 10 pounds which they say is normal at this time in my pregnancy but I'm going to try and keep it as low as possible since I was over weight before.

Sleep: I've been having so much trouble sleeping in my bed that I've been sleeping on the couch alot.

Best moment this week: Finding out our little girl is developing PERFECTLY!

Movement: She is moving NON stop! I love knowing she is in there. Greg hasn't felt her yet but I'm not sure other people can yet.

Gender: ALL GIRL!! :]

Belly Button in or out? It's still in.

Milestones: Sleeping comfortably in my own bed would be nice....

Favorite Moments: Greg kisses me goodbye and baby Lizzie everyday. :]

To Do List

Since I get to have my the little ones here, I'm going to do a few things while they are napping.

1. Mop the floors in the kitchen and bathroom.
2. laundry (if I don't put it here, it won't get done)
3. dishes (which makes me think, it's almost lunch time.)

There are also a few things that need to be done before the baby comes. Hopefully I'll plan one each month and they will all get done. :]

1. Finish painting the spare bedroom and hall way. (I mean it's been almost 3 years!) I'm not sure yet if we are going to use this as the nursery or not. Whichever room we choose we need to put a ceiling fan in. But I want all the painting done!

2. get a contract on the house for an exterminator

3. clean carpets or get them cleaned

4. fix dish washer or buy new one

5. fix laundry room doors. (They are off their hinges and need a part to be put back on.)

6. clean garage (this may be a multiple day project)

I'm going to start to try doing this:

Seems like a good idea and maybe can help me get off my butt and get things done! :]
