With everything going on in the world, it is so important to show others some kindness. We have been in high gear thinking of simple ways we can show each other love and kindness. And although it may be a splurge, one of my favorite ways to surprise people I love in my life is with flowers through Teleflora.

I don't know about you, but between the kids having to go back to virtual learning, staying home more due to high COVID numbers, and the cold weather, we have been looking for indoor stuff to do. I have always believed to never live your life in fear, but God gave us a brain to think for ourselves for a reason. Be smart, prepare yourself as best you can, and stay safe. If wearing a face mask helps my family stay safe, then I will do it. Some places are requiring them these days so I have been on the hunt for one that serves it's purpose, but doesn't hurt my ears. I was also looking for some that were adjustable for my kids to wear as well.

Wearing a mask or not has become a political debate for some reason when it honestly shouldn't be. If a private establishment has rules, then they should be followed and, if not, then that establishment has the right to not let the person disobeying the rules on their property. 

Some people have diseases that can't be seen and those diseases compromise their immune system. Some people are elderly and are at risk. Wearing a mask is protecting others. My family and I choose to wear a mask when we go to different places because we are just so grateful that things are opening up again.

My step-sister grew up loving Dora and being only a few years older while still loving cartoons, I loved her too. So when my daughter and I went to the movies, we saw the trailer for "Dora The Lost City of Gold" and were very excited. So we are thrilled to own it on digital and Blu-Ray now. And we loved the kit Paramount sent that included a Maglite as well!

In our house, September means getting ready for Halloween! It is one of my favorite holidays, if not my favorite. I love dressing up and decorating, creating spooky recipes for the kids, or watching family-friendly scary movies, but I love that there isn't all the pressure that tends to come with Christmas. This year my kiddos didn't know what they wanted to dress up as for Halloween, so when I was asked to try out Flappy suits, I thought what a great opportunity to let my kids choose what they want to be.

Flappy suits have secret airbags built into the costume, which cause different parts of the costume to magically move! They’re great for Halloween costume parties and slumber parties. They have a variety of flappy suit animals to choose from.

There are only a hand full of brands that I keep working with because I believe in them and National Geographic Kids is one of them. My kids love learning about animals and they keep coming out with unique books that are enjoyed by everyone in our house.

It is Spring Break this week at our house. My husband had to work this week, so no vacations for us. And exploring the world will have to wait until another time. And that's fine. We love exploring where we live locally too. My issue is what do you do when the weather is bad and you have two cooped up kids to entertain all day?
