Choose Plant-Based Protein and Save at Publix

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pinnacle Foods & Boulder Brands. All opinions are my own.

One of my tips I tell people to help save money on their grocery meals is to have one night that is meatless. So when we are creating our meal plan we have what we like to call “Meatless Mondays.” And what you may find surprising is that you can choose plant-based foods without giving up taste, convenience, or quality.

Save on Game Day Favorites for Your Tailgating Needs

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Game Day Favorites Available at Publix. The opinions and text are mine.

If your family and friends are anything like mine, then football season is a time where you all come together and enjoy the game, each other's company, and yummy foods! I have quite a few go-to tailgating recipes, but if they are easy then that's the one for me! Publix is one of my favorite places to shop for game day events, especially starting January 20th because they’re running an awesome promotion that will help you stock up for all of your tailgating needs.

We like to invite friends and family over to our house for game day. Usually we set the game up outside in the garage so it is more like a "tailgate," and everyone brings a dish or drink of choice, and then sometimes they'll even throw the football around. I love the social part of tailgating more than watching the actual games. We all get together so the kids can play as well.

Elevate Get Togethers with Pagoda Snacks at Publix

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pagoda®. The opinions and text are all mine.

This time of year we have so many get-togethers, who doesn't? Besides the holidays with the normal get-togethers and parties between friends and family, we also have my daughter's birthday. So I am always looking for easy options to really elevate any get together.

Besides being delicious and easy-to-prep, Pagoda® hot and crunchy Egg Rolls are the perfect get-together snack. It only takes 20 minutes to step outside the standard crunch fare of chips and crackers with hot and tasty Pagoda Egg Rolls. Each egg roll package is individually wrapped and comes with a Sweet Chili Sauce that offers a bold flavor and is perfect for dipping, making the snacks even more delicious.

Fuel A Better Lifestyle

Since my family has started to aim for a healthier lifestyle this year, we have been cooking at home more and trying to make better food choices. One of things that has changed is we have been buying more organic items including shelf safe organic products. We made the switch to buying organic milk last year. We love how much longer the date is and tasting great. I'm not a straight from the glass milk drinker, but my husband is and says organic just tastes better.

I have shared my love of Annie's Homegrown products before. I even created this Some "Bunny" Likes You Non-Candy Favor with Annie's products because my family enjoys their products so much we wanted to share them. Recently, my family and I have been enjoying "Breakfast Bowls" with

Power Your Morning with Nature Valley

As part of my New Year Resolutions, I have been determined to spend more time on me. It's been hard. Sometimes I find that with running around tending to everyone's busy schedules, I get lost somewhere in the dust. BUT I have made adjustments and have taken back my mornings! It was easy once I got into a ritual. So here's what I do and maybe it will help you too!

Take a Break with Sweet Rewards...You Deserve It!

I mentioned in my New Year Resolutions that my word of the year was BALANCE. And this means taking some time for myself...it's part of our formula for happiness. Taking time for myself.... what does that mean to me? Maybe I'll soak in a nice bubble bath, or go get a pedicure, or indulge myself with Betty Crocker Sweet Rewards bars. Yes, even when you are trying to lose weight, it is okay to treat yourself once in a while.

Handy Apps for Frugal Moms

This post contains affiliate links.
As a frugal mom myself, I am so grateful for the invention of smart phones. I have no idea how people saved money with out them (maybe because prices weren't so high?). I have compiled a list of my favorite frugal apps and hope you might like them too. :)

This post contains affiliate links, but these are all apps I use myself. This post was originally published in 2012 and I have updated because many of these apps I sill use today!

Making New Year Resolution Progress with Progresso + Giveaway

I have always tried making New Year resolutions that would stick. And it seems great and really easy at first because you are motivated, but then by week three of the new year you are back to old habits. That's why I have decided to make smaller goals for myself this year, instead of traditional "resolutions". Easy to set, so I won't be weighed down by the heavy obstacle.

Tips to Throw the Perfect Summer Party

I received a similar prize pack to share this giveaway. All opinions are 100% my own.

Summer is in full swing which means it’s time to break out the grill, grab some burgers and hot dogs, and head outside. Whether it’s the 4th of July, or a Sunday afternoon, there’s nothing better than a summertime get-together.

Weekly Totals - Publix - Saved 89%!

Kind of disappointed in myself on this trip. I was distracted at check out and they were out of some of the items I really wanted/needed. Plus my printer was having connection issues so I didn't get all of the high value coupons from Coupons.com before they were gone. So not my best after all that planning. :(

Anyways here is what I got. Please remember between the two stores I go they double coupons, do half price BOGO, & accept Target/Ingles/Kroger as competitors.

Mid Week Trip - Publix - Saved 90%!

I needed bread and toilet paper. I saw the deal on Playtex infant items and knew I should stock up for little man since I only have girl ones (and most of them are broken). Wish I had the Publix Baby Club coupon to make them moneymakers, but it's okay because they were a GREAT deal!

Weekly Totals - Publix - Saved 72%!

I'm excited for this trip because I stocked up on some produce that we really needed. I might go back and grab some more resolve because with two kids (one who is a boy), I'm going to definitely need it and at $0.50 who couldn't pass it up! ;D The FREE (actually money making) sausage, I'm SUPER excited about because I have a recipe I want to share with all of you and I was waiting for a deal on sausage, so now I can! :D (Yes, I use too many emoticons. ;P)
I also want to thank my mom for all the coupons she gave me on Mother's Day because if I wasn't for her this trip would have not been possible.

So this is what I got:

Weekly Totals - Saved 62%!

I had planned a bigger haul at Publix but my computer was having issues connecting to the printer. It wasn't the printer because I printed the Cheerios coupons from my iPad with no problem. But have no clue what is going on because it printed my shopping list. It seems something with JavaScript, maybe.

So you might see stuff from this sale on to next week's weekly savings post. I decided to head to Kroger first. You got a $3 Catalina when you bought 6 qualifying General Mills products and since I need canned veggies plus my Publix takes Kroger as a competitor, I stopped there first. I got super lucky on that Starbucks coffee deal! And then when I came home, there was an iBotta offer for ANY brand bread! I saved 62% after iBotta savings. I did the picture before I figured in those savings. To learn more about iBotta, you can view my post HERE. New users don't get $10 anymore, but you still get $5! :D So anyways, let's see how I did this week.

Weekly Totals - Publix - Saved 73%!

I was excited for this trip because I got some more great donation items for Stamp Out Hunger this Saturday. The diapers are a good deal to me and although my little man isn't in that size yet, I never want to have to pay full price for diapers and he will definitely go through them.

So I saved 73% this week...

Weekly Totals - Publix - 88% Saved! :D

I did two trips this week. One Thursday and then one Saturday because the new Green Ad Flyer came out. These Flyers can be found in store or in your Sunday papers. I am still not back to buying Sunday papers, so although I might miss some deals, there are TONS of great pintable coupons available to me still. I was so excited for the deals because I love Sambazon and couldn't turn down MONEY MAKING pasta! Plus cheap turkey that although it's made into burgers, it's inexpensive so I can ground it up and use it for  just about anything!

You’ll find great Earth Day Savings like the following:

Weekly Savings - Publix - 70%!

Since most of you came here originally for my weekly shopping totals (and to learn how to stretch your budget by couponing), I've decided to bring them back! Aren't you excited? I know I am. I've missed couponing. I slacked off so much and it started with printer issues, but now that we have a new wireless printer (thanks to being an #HPsmartMom) and a compatible computer, I can get back to the grind!

This week I made two trips to Publix. I'm just getting back into hard core couponing (although I never completely fell off the wagon), so there's a few items that I missed but since it's a holiday weekend, we have until Saturday to grab these deals! :D So here's a break down of what I got:
