It's that time again! This year is suppose to be different and more hectic (as far as shipping goes) than years past. So I wanted to get the ball rolling and showcase some gift ideas for kids bored at home this holiday season so you can start your gift giving season off a little earlier than normal so those presents can be in loved ones' hands on time.

If you have been following me since 2014, then you know that I have enjoyed collaborating with Oriental Trading off and on even though I have been a huge fan of theirs for years. My daughter celebrated her 9th birthday today and we held a slumber party over the weekend. While thinking of activities to include, I decided on having the children make homemade ornaments. I didn't want anything too involved or messy, so we settled on these Rae Dunn or Frozen 2 inspired ornaments. The writing reminds me of Rae Dunn collection pieces while the inside reminds me of Frozen 2. I loved the idea of making ornaments for a winter slumber party because it was a great activity plus they got a little party favor to take home.

I use to love different crafts projects and I still do, but I am one of those people that has to be in the mood and it isn't an everyday occurrence. Once I start a project, I like to finish it so finding the time is key for me. That's why I tend to lean towards easy projects, like this DIY Winter Princess Holiday Wreath. It is perfect for winter, Christmas, or a winter birthday theme. And it was VERY easy to make. I was sent a ton of items from Oriental Trading to provide this craft. All opinions are my own.

What my favorite part about this craft is that you can use different color tulle and make what ever kind of wreath you wanted! Red, White, and Blue for Independence Day. Red and Green for Christmas. Black and Orange for Halloween! It's seriously so versatile. I love easy, peasy home décor ideas and wreaths are a perfect way to keep your home festive.

Do your little ones know what they are going to be for Halloween this year? This is the first year that my son was adamant about being Batman, even though he was last year too. So I talked to my daughter and we all decided that we could do a family theme and go as different members of the Justice League. These Halloween costumes and many, many more were easily found at Oriental Trading.

Who doesn't love decorating for the holidays? For so many years I would get Christmas decorations as gifts because, seriously, that's all I wanted and I love them so much! This year we are in a new home so it was a chance to change things up. I decided to grab some new décor inside and we were excited to finally have the opportunity to decorate outside!

Most of the décor we bought on our own. But I did have the opportunity to work with a few brands this for my Holiday Gift Guide. And I'm very excited to share them with you.

Do your little ones know what they are going to be for Halloween this year? My son is still kind of young to actually tell me what he wants to be while my daughter keeps going back and forth. I have been looking for ways to combat summer "brain drain" and boredom. It's funny, my daughter says she's bored until there is cleaning to be done. Anyways, my daughter LOVES making crafts. And I have found an easy way to make a ton of crafts without blowing the budget.

My baby boy turned TWO on Sunday. I can not believe how fast time flies! We had his party on Saturday so it was easy for my husband to get that day off of work. Peanut is in to cars, balls, trains, and basically anything that rolls, so we decided to have a Thomas the Train Birthday Party! It is such an awesome theme because Thomas & Friends are EVERY where, so there are so many cute ideas out there. We had fun putting this party together and a great time was had by all!

SweetPea's had her 5th birthday party this past Saturday. I can NOT believe she turned FIVE on Wednesday! Where did the time go? My mother-in-law was super sweet and let us host the shindig at her house. And I was fortunate to be able to work with Oriental Trading again for all the wonderful decorations.



I brought all of SweetPea's dress up dresses, so all the little girls could wear a dress of their own. SweetPea wanted to wear her Sleeping Cutie dress from GreatPretenders because "it's pink and sparkly". Whoever would have thought I would have such a girly girl.

I love Halloween and taking the kiddos trick-or-treating. I have been taking Sweet Pea since she was 10 months old. I think it's an awesome tradition. This year I have coordinated the kiddo's costumes thanks to Oriental Trading. My daughter already had an Elsa dress (you can purchase one here), but I was sent my son's adorable Olaf costume to review.

My son turned ONE! I still can not believe it. I will share his one year update soon, but I wanted to share about his great party we had! I think this one was the best one yet! We did a Disney Cars 1st Birthday theme and had the movie playing in the background. Most of the decorations are from Oriental Trading, a few are from Amazon, and the rest were made. But it was super easy and everything looked so cute. We also didn't break the bank!

My baby girl had SO much fun at her 4th birthday party! We went to Woody's Jump N Play, which I mentioned in a previous post is a bounce house party venue that is also opened on a day-to-day basis. This was our first time having a party there and they were nothing short of awesome. SweetPea, of course, insisted on a Disney's FROZEN theme and wore her beautiful dress that her nana bought.
