DIY Winter Princess Holiday Wreath

I use to love different crafts projects and I still do, but I am one of those people that has to be in the mood and it isn't an everyday occurrence. Once I start a project, I like to finish it so finding the time is key for me. That's why I tend to lean towards easy projects, like this DIY Winter Princess Holiday Wreath. It is perfect for winter, Christmas, or a winter birthday theme. And it was VERY easy to make. I was sent a ton of items from Oriental Trading to provide this craft. All opinions are my own.

DIY Winter Princess Holiday Wreath

What my favorite part about this craft is that you can use different color tulle and make what ever kind of wreath you wanted! Red, White, and Blue for Independence Day. Red and Green for Christmas. Black and Orange for Halloween! It's seriously so versatile. I love easy, peasy home décor ideas and wreaths are a perfect way to keep your home festive.

So to start out making this wreath the first thing you will need to do is measure your wreath base. I used an old wire wreath frame I found lying around. You can use the one found here. Take that number, double it, and add 1 inch as the tulle will flair out a bit. I used these two types of tulle: Blue Gossamer and Silver Glitter Star, then I doubled them out which you will read about in the next step.

How many pieces of tulle you'll need depends on two factors; 1. If you want a fuller skirt and 2. the diameter of your basket. If you want a fuller, more fluffy skirt, then you will use two pieces of tulle at a time. To tie your wreath, fold the tulle in half and loop through bottom of the top, pull the opposite ends over the top, and create a slip knot. Repeat until the wire wreath is surrounded.

Frozen Inspired Wreath

The next step is just super glue the snowflake beads randomly on the tulle. Oriental Trading has a ton of different options to choose from. My daughter loved this wreath and thought it was the coolest thing. And when I make something, that is the best reaction I could have ever asked for. It makes my day to see something I created go appreciated like that. I honestly think I'm going to add a Happy Birthday decal and give it to my winter baby for her birthday.

I also received some DIY Rae Dunn Inspired ornaments from Oriental Trading that I can't wait to share with you really soon. I have received some fun décor, costumes, and so much more from Oriental Trading through the years. And I love the deals that they have going on right now as well! You can score free shipping, plus $10 off $59, $15 off $79 and $20 off $99 with code SQUAD19. Check out all the goodies they have to offer for the holidays HERE.

  1. This looks difficult, but after reading your review, I know it’s not! I had to pin this! I love the blue! I have a winter daughter also and I think she would like it for her home. I have shopped at Oriental Trading before. They seem to have everything and their prices are reasonable. Thank you for sharing!
