Check out these tooth-friendly tips for a cavity-free Halloween!

1. Check out products with xylitol as an alternative to sugary treats!
2. Hand out sugar-free candy to trick-or-treaters. You are still giving them a sweet treat, but without the cavities!
3. Host a Halloween party for a good cause benefitting a children’s charity. Everyone can bring a dollar for the charity and a healthy dish to eat at the party.
4. Dress up as the Tooth Fairy and give out multi-colored toothbrushes instead of candy this year.
5. For a healthy smile year-round, remember to brush and floss twice a day and visit your dentist once every six months! For children ages 6 and up, use a fluoride rinse.

My family and I are allergy sufferers. If you read my blog regularly, then you already know that my daughter and I suffer the most. And since we stay at home more often and are stuck in the house more during the wintertime, controlling the airborne particles in our house is so important. Can you believe it's getting time to start thinking about Holiday cards?! I have been sending out our Christmas cards since my Hubby and I first started dating. At first they were very generic with the infamous holiday letter, but then I discovered picture cards and I have never turned back. When I was nursing Sweet Pea, I never liked nursing in public. I felt ashamed because from the beginning I let others make me feel that way. I was doing nothing wrong, I was just feeding my baby when she was hungry, and being a terrible pumper, there really was no other option.

When I received the opportunity to work with MILK Nursingwear and review one of their very stylish nursing tops, I was extremely excited. Although I will be going through my insurance to get a better breast pump, I am not counting on pumping working for me. My mom and my sister both had hospital grade pumps and neither were able to pump very much.



I love all of milk nursingwear's adorable nursing tops and honestly had trouble picking one out! I finally decided and received the contemporary knot top and I absolutely LOVE it. Sweet Pea was strange on vacation. She threw a ton of tantrums over nothing. This isn't like her at ALL. I think that girl just needs her schedule, ritual, and structure of her everyday environment to get her through the day. She is getting better with adjusting as she gets older. But clearly she still has her moments.
We felt like crying during this shoot because this was the only thing my mother-in-law truly wanted. And our daughter just wouldn't cooperate. I think the bloopers are kind of funny looking back (now that I know we did get some okay shots). More to come next week!
