It’s that time of year. Have you received your flu shot yet? I took Peanut last month for his follow-up flu shot. I still need to get SweetPea her flu shot (I know I'm behind) and am thinking about going to Target Pharmacy.

Thanksgiving is such a special occasion where family can come together and give thanks to the ones they are thankful for all year long. When my Hubby and I were newly weds, I wanted more than anything to host Thanksgiving at our home. But we were still moving in and didn't have a way to make that dream become a reality. When I was asked to review Hoodsbee on my blog, I was really excited. Hoodsbee is a jacket that rolls up into itself to make a special friend for your little one. We decided on  received Mimi the Fox. I had trouble deciding between Mimi and Milo the Owl, although they are all super cute. I chose Mimi because I thought my daughter would be more likely to recognize her. When I first opened the package, my daughter saw Mimi and when I asked her what it was, she said a cat. In less than a month, my baby is turning 4. FOUR! Where does the time go? Wasn't it yesterday that I was bringing her home?

I have always been shy about nursing in public. I have large breasts and I don't want a whole lot of skin showing. It's a personal preference. Quite often women accidentally wean their little ones during the holidays. Maybe it's because the how busy everything is or the stress. I'm not sure. My daughter was born December 9th. We managed to breastfeed through her first and second Christmas. Her first Christmas we didn't really go anywhere. It was rough anyways because she was a newborn with lip tie and I had no idea what I was doing. We made it through her second Christmas because she was kind of self weaning at that point, so she only nursed maybe 3 times a day at that point.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I received an email about cord blood banking. Then later at a regular OB visit I received a pamphlet. But honestly I just wasn't given enough information. Little man is discovering foods. He has 4 teeth now...yes FOUR! And so he has been testing out more and more solids...within reason. People will tell you that your body will change after pregnancy and you won't believe them. You may say, I'm going to work out and et everything back to the way it was before (or better)! Yeah I said that too. And while you can get your pre-baby body back in some ways, there are some things that are just going to be different after you have a baby.
