Leaping into Gaming {LeapFrog #LeapTV Mommy Party}

I received complimentary LeapFrog products through Mom Select Mommy Parties. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions are my own.

I have always been a huge fan of the Leapfrog since I was sent my very first product to review through Mommy Parties. Leapfrog products are not just educational, but very entertaining as well. Their newest and hottest product is the LeapFrog LeapTV which is an educational active gaming system. This product is so innovative it is on Amazon's Hot Holiday Toy List of 2014!

My daughter loves watching Daddy play video games (Mine Craft) and I know she wants to play too, but my problem with most of the video games on the market is that they are not educational or they aren't in her age group. Also my daughter really needs work on her large motor skills, so I want games that make her get up and move. That's why the LeapTV is truly a brilliant product. LeapFrog's LeapTV is an educational, active video gaming system built just for kids ages 3 to 8 years old, where kids learn through motion as they jump and dance to innovative, engaging curriculum.

We had a chance to experience this amazing gaming system amongst friends to see what their thoughts were. The system is so simple for children to grasp. Children can see themselves on T.V. with the motion-sensing camera which the kids loved. And why wouldn't they? They were ON T.V.! The system can be played by the camera only which captures kids’ movements so no controller is needed. But the game can also be played with the transforming controller (with wrist strap) in two different ways; pointer play and classic control. Since this is SweetPea's first gaming system, she had to get use to the controller. But she is doing really well with it and picking up it easily.

We received two games to test out. One was LeapFrog's Dance and Learn which allows kids to be interactive by moving to the beat with nine dancing games that teach early reading skills such as vocabulary and letter sounds. My daughter attends 3K pre-school and she was sharing what she knew in such a fun way!

I really enjoyed watching my daughter play LeapFrog Sports! which allows children to play nine sports and put mathematics in motion. Geared for ages 4 to 7 years old, this game gives them the opportunity to learn addition, subtraction, shapes, patterns, number recognition and number sequences all through movement! My daughter loved karate chopping her numbers!

My daughter's favorite game was the free Pet Play World. You get this game for free if you already have a LeapFrog account when you set up your LeapTV. Even the older kids enjoyed the system too because of the motion camera and how interactive it is! My 12 year old little brother was having a ball. This is the perfect learning resource for kids while having fun!

I am in love with this gaming system and have decided to include it in my Holiday Gift Guide. The LeapFrog LeapTV can be purchased for $149.00 at just about anywhere! Make sure to stay up to date with all the hottest LeapFrog products by following them on Facebook and Twitter. They frequently share activities such as coloring sheets as well.

What do you think of the LeapFrog LeapTV? Would you consider buying this for your little one?
