Seventh Generation Baby Review {Win a 6-Month Supply of SeventhGeneration's Free & Clear Diapers, Ends 7/1}
Saturday, June 28, 2014
I received the following products complimentary from Seventh Generation through Modern Mom. All opinions are my own.
Last month we received Seventh Generation Diapers and Wipes to try out on Peanut. I have heard such wonderful things about this company, but haven't had the opportunity to test them out. My daughter had such a terrible time with disposables because of all the chemicals, so I was VERY excited to try out their toxic free baby products.

Importance of Dental Health During Pregnancy And Beyond
Wednesday, June 25, 2014
This is a sponsored post written in partnership with One2One Network and Crest Pro-Health. All opinions are 100% my own.
When my husband and I were trying to get pregnant with SweetPea, every online pregnancy/baby site told me how I should keep up with my regular dental visits or start going. I never even considered that this was an issue! But there are possible dental health problems during that can be elevated during pregnancy, such as:

A Letter to My 1st Time Mom Pregnant Self
Tuesday, June 24, 2014
I received a similar prize pack from P&G in order to share this giveaway. All opinions are my own.
Dear First Time Mom Pregnant Self,
You think you know everything because you were a Nanny for five years and worked at a day care before that. But 24/7/365 with no pay check is a COMPLETELY different story. First of all, don't sweat the small stuff. If your daughter wants to sleep with every stuffed thing in the entire house, count your blessings that at least she's willing to sleep. Nurse every two hours until your milk comes in. Pumping sucks literally, but it can help too. Don't worry about bed sharing some nights. Or even most nights. It won't last forever and one day you'll miss it. Pacifiers are your friend. Get the dog trained BEFORE the baby is born. Make time for your husband, make sure to find ways to include him, and make him be included whether he wants to or not - that means making him change diapers. He will thank you later. Breastfeeding is hard. There will be ups and downs during that entire first year, but you can do it. Take a bath with the baby because at least you'll kind of get one too. Do at least a load of laundry a day, but don't sweat it if you miss a day because babies don't keep. Make sure the car seat's chest clip is at arm pit level. Don't let others pressure you to do something that your mommy instincts are against. Stock up on diapers before hand, not when you run out and have to use a shirt. Wipe warmers are pointless and waste wipes. Pampers Swaddlers are awesome because they have the color-changing wetness indicator that makes it easy for you (and Hubby) to tell when it's time to change a diaper, they are one of the few that won't break your little one out (this was my experience, yours may differ), they are Pampers' softest diaper, the #1 choice among hospitals, and Pampers has their wonderful Gifts to Grow program.

Yes, my boy uses a pink tummy time mat. :) |
I loved putting Sweet Pea in Pampers Swaddlers and although she was a little baby, I was sad when she grew out of them. And Peanut is 14.4 lbs at 3 1/2 months old and will now get to experience Pampers Swaddlers longer because they are now available up to size 5 at Babies “R” Us! Pampers Swaddlers give your baby comfort and protection they’ll love for even longer. With up to 12 hours of overnight protection, Swaddlers help you make your baby as comfortable as possible. PLUS, you can save some money by buying Swaddlers Super Economy Pack and Economy Plus Pack which are now available.

Getting Ready for Date Night with Wantable!
Friday, June 20, 2014
I received complimentary products to provide this review. All opinions are all my own.
Hubby and I decided to celebrate our 10 year dating anniversary this year. We usually don't celebrate when we first started dating because we are married, but being our 10 year, we decided to get all spiffy and go out for a dinner and movie. Wantable had asked me to do a review of their June makeup box a few weeks back and being the subscription box junkie I am, I couldn't resist.
I don't wear makeup every day, but being date night, I wanted to look nice! But saying that I don't wear makeup every day, I love trying out new makeup products. That's why I love the Wantable Makeup Subscription Boxes. They have a jewelry and lingerie ones as well, but I think this one is my favorite. What's cool is you fill out a profile so you get products specifically for you, so no one's box is exactly like yours and you get products that fit your taste and style.
Here's what came in my box:

A Decade Ago {Wordless Wednesday}
Wednesday, June 18, 2014
June 20th, 2004 is when my husband and I officially started "going steady". Our Love Story started over a decade ago. We decided we only wanted to date each other and no one else. We were young. I was 18 and he was 20 (showing my age, huh?). We went on our first date a week or so before that. So I'm dedicating this Wordless (or Wordlful as it seems) Wednesday to my wonderful Hubby and may have 10 MORE years together!

Creativity Inspired By Television with "Tumble Leaf" by Amazon Studios #MC
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Amazon Studios. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item to thank me for participating.
I personally believe television can be used as a great educational tool. I believe it isn't used properly that is why there is a negative stigma about it. Your child's television time should be limited and monitored. Let them watch educational shows were they learn something, whether it be the alphabet or sharing. You should talk to your children afterwards about what they've just seen and make sure they are taking what they should away from it. I understand this isn't always practical, but if you can't be there with your child, like if you are making dinner or breastfeeding a baby, you can put on something you know has a goal of developing creative thinking in children.

Smart Bottoms Newborn Organic Cloth Diaper Review #BornSmart
I received a complimentary Smart Bottom organic newborn cloth diaper to provide this review. I received no additional compensation. All opinions are 100% my own.
Website - Facebook - Twitter
"Our Born Smart Newborn diaper is an organic AIO diaper that fits most babies 6-16lbs. The interior of the diaper boasts 3 layers of organic cotton sewn in to the diaper and an additional 4 layer snap-in insert (included). The unique design allows for easy cleaning and quick drying, with enough absorbency to grow with your newborn. This diaper also has one rise setting, an umbilical notch, and a hidden pocket under the lining to add additional absorbency if needed."

We used ours for our first family pictures when my son was only a week old. He weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces at birth and didn't lose any weight in the hospital, so he probably had gained a few ounces by this point. The diaper fit a wonderfully and looked so adorable on him. Here are some of the shots where you can see it. (Photos by Dawn Black Photography.)
You can purchase Smart Bottoms Cloth Diapers on Amazon
or directly from their site! My little man isn't so little anymore and he out grew his beautiful newborn diaper quickly. But I love the beautiful blue and that we were able to cloth diaper from the very beginning. The snaps make everything super easy to make sure the fit is perfect.

Everything But The Baby! Introducing The Baby Box Co.
Wednesday, June 4, 2014
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Baby Box Co. I have received compensation to share this information. All opinions are 100% my own.
Have you heard of The Baby Box Co.? The Baby Box Co. is inspired by the 75 year old tradition in Finland. The state provides expectant mothers a box of essentials that are known as a “starter kit”. Research has shown that once the boxes were introduced in Finland, infant mortality rates plummeted. The Baby Box Co. has taken the concept of the “starter kit” box and brought it to the United States in a unique and exciting way!
Baby Boxes are an essential tool that can make life easier for new moms! You get all the basics that you'll need delivered right to your door, so you don't have to stress. The boxes contain onesies, hats, bibs, pacifiers, swaddle blankets, baby shampoo/body wash, and more. They've spent countless hours researching what the best brands and products are for infants so that you don't have to!

Kind of disappointed in myself on this trip. I was distracted at check out and they were out of some of the items I really wanted/needed. Plus my printer was having connection issues so I didn't get all of the high value coupons from Coupons.com before they were gone. So not my best after all that planning. :(
Anyways here is what I got. Please remember between the two stores I go they double coupons, do half price BOGO, & accept Target/Ingles/Kroger as competitors.
