EASY AS PUMPKIN PIE: How it works

Make Money Online While Never Paying Retail with Dealspotr

I am always look to pay the lowest amount possible. I HATE paying retail! If I have to buy something online, I hate leaving that "Enter Coupon Code" spot blank. I recently was introduced to Dealspotr and now I can always make sure I will find the best deal or coupon code possible while earning Amazon gift cards too.

Make Money Online While Never Paying Retail with Dealspotr

So let me explain. How Dealspotr works is consumers just like you and me post in-store, online, or even freebie deals for just about any store you can think of. Anyone can validate codes or deals. And how you do it is by sharing screenshots to make sure the deal is working properly. This ensures that the most valid and reliable deals are shared. The key is honesty, but with almost 30,000 users validating deals and coupons, Dealspotr has a unique system that ensures deals are valid and you can save the most money possible.

10 Tips for Beginner Couponers

This post contains affiliate links.

A simple google search brings you to a mass collection of links and images all saying they have free this and that. I was once an overwhelmed beginner too. Here are my 10 tricks of the trade for beginning couponers.

How To Get Coupons for FREE...WITHOUT Digging in Dumpsters

How to Get Coupons for FREE...WITHOUT Digging in Dumpsters was originally published on 5/24/13.

***I have been debating about posting this because I didn't want to come off as judgmental or leaping to conclusions. But after talking to several others about this, I am not the only one who thinks this way. So here we go. Please let me know your thoughts. ***

Handy Apps for Frugal Moms

This post contains affiliate links.
As a frugal mom myself, I am so grateful for the invention of smart phones. I have no idea how people saved money with out them (maybe because prices weren't so high?). I have compiled a list of my favorite frugal apps and hope you might like them too. :)

This post contains affiliate links, but these are all apps I use myself. This post was originally published in 2012 and I have updated because many of these apps I sill use today!

MONEY MAKING Enfagrow at Kroger! Ends 7/1

The Enfagrow 4 packs are BOGO at Kroger until 7/1. They are $5.99 regular price and ring up $2.99. With this printable coupon, you can make $2.01 for every one you buy! Now I don't know if this coupon link is unique to me or not yet, so please let me know.

Weekly Totals - Publix - Saved 89%!

Kind of disappointed in myself on this trip. I was distracted at check out and they were out of some of the items I really wanted/needed. Plus my printer was having connection issues so I didn't get all of the high value coupons from Coupons.com before they were gone. So not my best after all that planning. :(

Anyways here is what I got. Please remember between the two stores I go they double coupons, do half price BOGO, & accept Target/Ingles/Kroger as competitors.

Mid Week Trip - Publix - Saved 90%!

I needed bread and toilet paper. I saw the deal on Playtex infant items and knew I should stock up for little man since I only have girl ones (and most of them are broken). Wish I had the Publix Baby Club coupon to make them moneymakers, but it's okay because they were a GREAT deal!

Weekly Totals - Saved 62%!

I had planned a bigger haul at Publix but my computer was having issues connecting to the printer. It wasn't the printer because I printed the Cheerios coupons from my iPad with no problem. But have no clue what is going on because it printed my shopping list. It seems something with JavaScript, maybe.

So you might see stuff from this sale on to next week's weekly savings post. I decided to head to Kroger first. You got a $3 Catalina when you bought 6 qualifying General Mills products and since I need canned veggies plus my Publix takes Kroger as a competitor, I stopped there first. I got super lucky on that Starbucks coffee deal! And then when I came home, there was an iBotta offer for ANY brand bread! I saved 62% after iBotta savings. I did the picture before I figured in those savings. To learn more about iBotta, you can view my post HERE. New users don't get $10 anymore, but you still get $5! :D So anyways, let's see how I did this week.

Weekly Totals - Publix - Saved 73%!

I was excited for this trip because I got some more great donation items for Stamp Out Hunger this Saturday. The diapers are a good deal to me and although my little man isn't in that size yet, I never want to have to pay full price for diapers and he will definitely go through them.

So I saved 73% this week...

Weekly Savings - Publix - 70%!

Since most of you came here originally for my weekly shopping totals (and to learn how to stretch your budget by couponing), I've decided to bring them back! Aren't you excited? I know I am. I've missed couponing. I slacked off so much and it started with printer issues, but now that we have a new wireless printer (thanks to being an #HPsmartMom) and a compatible computer, I can get back to the grind!

This week I made two trips to Publix. I'm just getting back into hard core couponing (although I never completely fell off the wagon), so there's a few items that I missed but since it's a holiday weekend, we have until Saturday to grab these deals! :D So here's a break down of what I got:

Couponing 101: Always Shop Sales

Kroger deals 6/12

This trip is a perfect example of "How To Shop Sales". I have been couponing for over a year now, but my first advice for saving money on groceries came from my mother-in-law. She said use coupons when you have them on what you would normally buy, but always try and shop sales. Great advice that has helped my family save so much money and how I can afford to be a stay-at-home mom.

This week, we were low on veggies. My family goes through veggies like they are going out of style. Nice problem to have, right? But I have been terrible about buying papers, so I had NO coupons. What's a girl to do? Kroger is having this awesome Buy 10, Get 5 free sale. PLUS my Kroger was having a 4-day sale. And of course the Mega still is going on (and a new one starts next week). :D

ibotta app

By the way, have I mentioned my love of the ibotta app? I haven't? (I think I mentioned it here) Anyways it's this cool app where you can earn CASH through PayPal for items that you would normally purchase anyways. PLUS you can use paper coupons with this app!
Example, here's a deal from Publix:

- $1/1 Silk Beverage: (Soy Almond or Coconut milk or Fruit & Protein 1/2 gal+) Target Coupon
- $1/1 Silk Pure Almond Milk Half Gallon
- $0.75 Silk Half Gallon ibotta offer
You actually make a quarter after coupons and ibotta offer!

And right now if you sign up through a referral link (*COUGH* I'll leave THIS right here), you can earn $10 CASH through PayPal when you redeem your first offer. ibotta currently works at these retailers: 7-Eleven, BI-LO, CityMarket, CVS Pharmacy, Dillons, Dollar General, Dominicks, Duane Reade, Family Dollar, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Giant Eagle, H-E-B, Harris Teeter, Hy-Vee, Ingles Markets, King Soopers, Kroger, Meijer, Pathmark, Pavilions, Pick 'N Save, Publix, QFC, Ralphs, Randalls, RiteAid, Safeway, Sam's Club, ShopRite, Smith's, Stop & Shop, Target, Tom Thumb, United States Armed Forces Commissary, Vons, Walgreens, Walmart, Wegmans, WinCo Foods, & Winn-Dixie.

Blogging Lessons & A Coupon Trip (Saved 70%!)

Did you ever lose your way while blogging? That's how I have kind of felt lately. My blog started out as a way to keep track of my pregnancy and then just share deals with friends & family. Then I found that I could make a little money for sharing deals that I was already sharing! And now with giveaways, reviews, and sponsored posts...I feel I have lost my way. I apologize for that. I love that you all are still managing to stick with me through thick and thin. And my randomness. Thank you all.

So on to the reason that I'm assuming most of you still stick around, my couponing trips! :D My dear friend over at Funny Postpartum Lady commented on a photo I shared on my Facebook page about how I saved 70% Saturday on my groceries. The picture isn't very good, but I did manage to buy fruits, veggies, dairy, and meats but only spent about $60! How did I do this? Well I'll give you one of my tips on how I pay for the good stuff; OVERAGE! Next frugal post, I'll share another tip I use; Hint: Catalinas! :D

Okay so that's how I did shopping last week. Sorry it's so late. I have been so over whelmed (and sick) so I have just been on pause. I will try and get back into updating everything regularly and with a better consistency than it has been lately. Let me know how you all did in the comments! :)

Some free products found here, I received through the Kroger Summer Grilling Bzz Campaign. I love Kroger brand products. The burgers were juicy and fit perfect on the soft slider buns. The cola was refreshing and the chips made the perfect side. I bought more cola later as they had a 4/$9 deal that I just couldn't pass up! I love feeding my family fun foods and when I shop at Kroger, I know I can do it without breaking the bank! :)

Coupon Policies Change...& it can suck.

I went to Publix yesterday, for the first time in a while. My Publix was great to shop at because they doubled coupons, did half price BOGO, and considered Target, Kroger, & Ingles as competitors. Why they considered Target a competitor, I'm not quite sure because the closest one is about 15 minutes away. But I wasn't going to complain!

I got in check-out and had a good amount of items in my cart and I put everything on the belt (I had my daughter with me so this is never the easiest if tasks). When the cashier scanned everything and I have her my coupons, the first one she came to she said she would have to ask a manager because they no longer accept Target as a competitor. Wha...wha..WHAT?! This totally threw a wrench in my game plan. Apparently they stopped taking them since April 1st...Fool's Day indeed. :/

I am going to have to change my game plan completely when I shop at Publix and may be visiting Kroger more and more.

Here was my grocery list. Items in BOLD are what I ended up buying. Maybe you Publix accepts Target and you'll have better luck.

So how did everyone else do this week? Have you ever had an unexpected turn of events with coupon policies like this?

Today, I Was That Crazy Coupon Lady

Don't Judge My Couponing

I bought 12 Campbell's Go Soups! 12! Why might you ask? I had 10 $2 off coupons and they were only $1.50. I just couldn't resist.

It has been a while since I really shopped. I had more planned to get today but Kroger was out. I might go back since the sale doesn't end until Saturday. I have been under the weather and just burned out on just about everything. So this trip was a big deal for me.

The main items I was excited about getting were, of course, the Go Soups but also those Pampers wipes, why? Because they were FREE after coupon! :) My Kroger has a policy where you can only use 5 like coupons in the same transaction. So they let me do two. This is why I was that crazy coupon lady. I also had to use mostly printable coupons because I have been behind on getting my papers. :/ You spend more when you don't do the work.

funny no vacation for mom

This is how I feel this week. At least I didn't have to take both girls shopping this week. So how was your week?

Still no Poise at my store. :(
So didnt get any money makers. But a few things, I went to Publix twice (once HERE) and then Kroger. I also got some free MexAmerica products in the mail today for a product review so recipe to come soon! :)

Anyways I had some great shopping trips this week!
The first Publix trip was actually a leak over from last week but
we have been fighting colds so I was pretty lazy plus I have been trying to get my blog, diet, exercise, couponing, and everything else in my life organized.
So although I have been saving money where I can,
I need to get back on the Dave Ramsey band wagon! :)

Kroger Trip:

I had intentions of getting with coupons but they were out AND I forgot my $0.50/1 Cheerios coupon that would have doubled but did manage to use this Saving Star one making them $1.49 instead of $0.49 that it should have been. I spent too much - $39.61 OOP (if I didn't have a $10 gift card from a campaign, it would have been more) but it's okay because I stocked up on the veggies needed to do the Copy Kids DVD review and some special items for Valentine's Day. :)

Has anyone seen this meme?

My thing about the Mayan calendar is, what if they just ran it of room
and thought, well we will be around to update it later.
They were the most powerful at the time.
I kid.

But I see all these people quoting bible scripture.
No man knows and time is not relevant,
Let's remember that.

Okay, so here are the HOT deals I grabbed at Publix and Kroger.
A few things to note:
Some coupons may or may not be available anymore,
I calculate my savings after submitting any iBotta offers, after received SavingStar discounts,
and any mail-in-rebates. Because those ARE savings.
To read my review on SavingStar & iBotta, click HERE. :)

My Kroger only accept TWO of the same printable coupon & 5 of others.
My Publix accepts Target, Ingles, & Kroger as competitors,
doubles coupons, and does half price BOGO.

Okay so let's get started, this week was a GREAT week!
