Capture the Joy of Movement with Huggies

Since my sister-in-law has become a stay-at-home mom with her second born, I have been going and visiting her more. It's nice to have another SAHMom to talk to during the day and she really is like my own sister. My son and youngest niece are nine months apart in age. Making her nine months old. Now that they are both mobile, anytime we can get them together it is interesting to say the least.
Watching my children and their cousins play together, is truly a joy. My niece is so cute, she thinks she is as big as everyone else and is always getting into everything. She climbs on everything and has even already started taking steps, that's how active she is.  She wiggles and she squirms, but my sister-in-law's number one concern is making sure her diaper stays on and keeps her dry.

Spread the Love with Huggies UltraHug

When I was a regular coupon user, there were so many ways that it helped my family. Of course, it helped stretch our one income, but I was also able to help other families through donations. When I heard that Huggies was giving away $2,000 grants to 10 people for the community project or charity of their choosing simply by uploading a selfie, I was in. I couldn't think of a better place to donate the money to than Atlanta Community Food Bank.

I hardly ever coupon anymore. It is very time consuming, but I still try and donate whenever I can because no child should go hungry. Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) procures over 45 million pounds of food and groceries each year and distributes it to more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies serving families and individuals in Atlanta and many Georgia counties. The mission of the Atlanta Community Food Bank is to fight hunger by engaging, educating and empowering the community. While their core work is food distribution, their efforts extend far beyond that. Their mission is lived out every day through seven projects that help engage, educate and empower both people in need and those who want to help. From supporting community gardens to assisting people in finding economic security, ACFB covers a wide range of opportunities for people to learn and get involved.

So how does the #UltraHug contest work?

Keeping My Baby Ultra Dry at Night

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Huggies®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Peanut is almost on the verge of walking. He is SO close, but he just doesn't quite have the balance yet. But that doesn't mean he doesn't manage to get into everything and boy is that kid FAST! He has also always been a heavy wetter, so finding a quality diaper that will meet both of his needs is a high priority. We have been testing out Huggies® Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers available only at Walmart for a few days now. Not only is Peanut very active during the day, but he is an extremely roly-poly sleeper at night.

Huggies Snug and Dry Ultra Diapers Review
Huggies® Snug and Dry Ultra Diapers not only locks away wetness better with the unique quilted inner liner, but they are very soft as well. The tabs seem longer to wrap around him more snuggly too. The Trusted Leak Lock System with quick-absorbing layers has been lasting all night, so no more mid-night diaper changes for this mama!

Potty Training During the Holidays

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pull-Ups® Training Pants.

On our journey to get our daughter to ditch the diapers, we discovered that potty training during the Holidays can be a little rough. With the chaos of running to one event after another and getting everything together with shopping and baking, it can get a little off schedule which can throw your little one off their potty training routine and could make them regress.

Here are some of my tips for not letting Holiday Stress distract from your Potty Training Success:

1. Set a timer on your phone or use Pull-Ups® FREE timer that can be found on their website. Keeping a schedule in the midst of the chaos can help with those early days of potty training.

2. Show your child the potty when you go to a place they have never been before. Some children have trouble going potty when the environment has changed. There is too much to look at it. That's why when I'm out in public, even if I don't think my daughter has to go but she asks to go potty, we make a trip to explore the restroom. It can be time consuming, but it makes her more comfortable and she usually ends up going as well.

3. Take your child with you every time you need to go. Don't make it a struggle though. Sometimes children need to see that's it okay to go other places as well and seeing their number one role model go potty in a strange place can make it easier for them to adjust to any fears they might have.

4. Ask your child to go potty often. It can be hard to remember with all the excitement going on. But show your child that just because they take a break to go potty doesn't mean play time is over.

5. Bring along the Pull-Ups®! Pull-Ups® training pants are gender/size specific and there are a variety of products to match children’s various learning styles such as Pull-Ups® Training Pants with Cool Alert®, Learning Designs®, and Pull-Ups® Night*Time Training Pants.

You can also make sure to keep the celebration everywhere by downloading the new Big Kid® App on your mobile device (available on specially marked packages of Pull-Ups®).

Pull-Ups has also made it easy to save this Holiday season with an offer to share for a $3 off coupon!

It's super easy to save and share. Just make sure you are registered on their site! The fun thing about registering is Pull-Ups® offers a wide range of tips, tools and resources to help Moms and tots start potty training. On Pull-Ups.com, you can keep track of your Tot’s potty training success using the Big Kid® Calendar or you can enter the Party Room and customize a new celebration after each Big Kid® flush, bringing the celebration to life for your little one. PLUS who couldn't save a little extra this time of year?

What are your go to tips when potty training through the Holidays?

Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diapers {Review & Coupon}

Thank you so much Huggies for letting me share this product with all of my readers by providing products for this review.

This diaper has made diaper changes easier for me and SweetPea because I can just can catch her and go.
I tried this product when SweetPea was still crawling, but honestly I didn't care for it. Most of the time it was a great product, but she a runny poopie incident once and this diaper didn't hold up. But I was using them wrong! This diaper is actually designed for babies who are standing and newly walking.

I wanted to give these diapers a second chance because my friend is really fond of them. And there are always such great deals and coupons out for them! So I gave it another go. And I am impressed with them! They have been great for SweetPea and we have no complaints.

Pretty proud of this trip even if I did buy things I didn't have coupons for and didn't plan on buying. Plus I got a LOT of stuff that we have had to go without that we use to buy because we couldn't afford (i.e. the stouffers lasagnas and tater tots). How many of you have gone without because it wasn't on a good deal/didn't have good coupons for an item you really like? My family will always have food on their plate, a roof over their heads, and clothes on their backs but sometimes will go without the extras. That's called survival.

SouthernSavers.com, IHeartPublix.com, and TheKrazyCouponLady.com helped me plan this trip! :D

Couponing is hip too!

"Coupons
-
the crack cocaine of middle aged married American women",
quote from 'smartarse001'
on The Krazy Coupon Lady's youtube page.

I coupon. I'm not ashamed of it. I actually get excited about it and enjoy doing it. I've saved a ton of money for my family in the few weeks I have done it. I'm a twenty five year old stay-at-home mom. I worked a full time job before I had my daughter. So going from two incomes to one income PLUS another person was an adjustment.

I must admit, I got into it because of that show Extreme Couponing on TLC. Yes, I joined the fad. But now I can't believe I didn't do this before and I don't understand why everyone doesn't shop this way! It has been like an extra income for our family.

These are BABY things I got for a GREAT deal:

Countless jars of Beechnut Baby Food plus a box of their cereal for FREE

Our review:
HUGE FAN! I can not say enough great things about this baby food. Perfect texture, tastes good, the only thing is I wish they made some in BPA free plastic containers as in some varieties the metallic lid can make the food taste funny.

Gerber Graduates for FREE

Our review:
She is almost two now and we are STILL huge fans Gerber puffs and crunchies. The veggie and tomato varieties of the crunchies are her favorites and the sweet potato is her favorite of the puffs! :)

4 Beechnut Toddler Mini Meals for FREE

Our review:
Not a fan which is sad to say because she loved their actual baby food and loves the fruities now. Sweet Pea didn't care for them and I didn't care for the texture. They are suppose to be stage 4 (whatever they means) but stage 3 Gerber baby food has a thicker texture. The 'macaroni and cheese' were runny and hardly had any noodles. I wouldn't even buy these again if they were free, except to donate. And maybe not even then because I don't want the company thinking people like these. :/

Tons of FREE Huggies wipes!

Our review:
A HUGE fan! I like these way more than Pampers. Yes, Pampers are softer but they take a TON to get everything clean. And yes I may get them super cheap after coupons, but I still care about where my money goes. We give Huggies wipes TWO Mommy thumbs and two baby thumbs up! ;)

MULTIPLE Playtex sippy cups for FREE
Vote For Us @ TopBabyBlogs.Com - A Top Baby Blog List By topbabyblogs.com

Our review:
LOVE THESE CUPS! They were the only ones that helped my sweet pea easily adjust to using a sippy cup. They have a softer spout than some of the options out PLUS they have great easy to grip handles.

Why WOULDN'T I coupon? :D
