Easy Valentine’s Handprint & Footprint Crafts Kids Will Treasure Forever

Valentine’s Day crafts don’t have to be complicated, Pinterest-stressful, or require a trip to three different stores. Some of the most meaningful keepsakes come from the simplest materials, paint, paper, and those tiny hands and feet that somehow grow way too fast.

Easy Valentine’s Handprint & Footprint Crafts Kids Will Treasure Forever

As a mom and an early childhood teacher, I’ve learned that handprint and footprint crafts are the kind parents actually keep. Not the glitter-covered worksheets that mysteriously disappear by March, but the ones that end up tucked into baby books, framed on walls, or pulled out years later with misty eyes.

That’s why I’m sharing two easy Valentine’s Day handprint and footprint crafts that work beautifully for classrooms and at home, and yes, there’s a free printable to make your life easier.

These Valentine crafts are:
- Simple enough for toddlers and preschoolers
- Meaningful enough for parents to treasure
- Perfect for classrooms, homeschool, or daycare
- Low-prep and budget-friendly

Scrunchie Trendy Valentine Idea

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I was trying to think about what my daughter and I have created together for her to hand out to her class mates. From everything to a homemade Unicorn Valentine Box to easy, no fuss printables. This year I wanted to create something trendy that I knew she would enjoy handing out. Plus I am always trying to think of new non-candy Valentine ideas that kids or even teenagers will actually enjoy.

When I was trying to think about what to make with my daughter for our annual Valentine school handouts, I tried to think about the things she likes. As she thinks being a VSCO girl is the new hip thing (she is only in third grade after all), she loves her Hydroflask, saving the sea turtles one metal straw at a time, and of course scunchies. So I thought, why not create a cute printable for my readers that would make the perfect, non-candy school hand out.

First of all, what is a VSCO girl?

Unicorn Valentine Box with Free Printable Templates

This is the Unicorn Valentine Box I made for my daughter last year. It wasn't too complicated to make. I just took a box, put some white paper on it, and added some details.

Unicorn Valentine Box

I thought I would make it easier for you than it was for me by providing some templates and a few instructions in case you want to make one too. For the horn, I used a Styrofoam cone and wrapped glitter paper around it. I added "hair" with ribbon, but I think it doesn't really needed it. We also added a crown that we found in our party box and I believe it came from Oriental Trading, but I don't have a picture of it. You could easily make your own too. Check out these free unicorn printables below to make this valentine box project even easier!

DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power now available on Netflix! + Printable Sword Craft

This post is sponsored by DreamWorks Animation.

I am a baby of the '80s. And I love all things from that decade. I have been so excited to see Netflix bringing back some of my favorites like Care Bears and now She-Ra! The highly anticipated Netflix original, DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, is now available. In the 1980s series, She-Ra was extended from "Masters of the Universe" and was He-Man's long lost twin sister.

Inspired by the popular ‘80s animated series, DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power tells the epic story of an orphan named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil. For the honor of Grayskull and in celebration of its early release thanks to fan excitement, we can enjoy 13 half-hour episodes on Netflix now!
