MAM's #MyBFStory Contest, Ends 8/7

In preparation for World Breastfeeding Week next week, MAM’s #MyBFStory is celebrating breastfeeding and the triumphs and challenges that come along with it. MAM is inviting moms to share their breastfeeding experiences with as much candor as possible and to offer words of encouragement and advice for expectant moms as they look to begin nursing themselves.

Breastfeeding is natural, beautiful and healthy; what breastfeeding is not is easy for all moms like most of the conversations online would have you believe! MAM believes that we all can benefit from honest, candid dialogue about breastfeeding between real moms so please share your personal story and your advice for new/expectant moms at http://bit.ly/MAM_MyBFStory with #MyBFStory. MAM will choose their three favorite stories to win a $100 gift card! Contest ends 8/7.

My First Baby #BehindTheBlogger

I thought about writing something totally different for this #BehindTheBlogger topic, but something came up and I just felt I had to pour my heart out.

I don't why, but I don't talk about him much on here. But he is a huge part of our everyday lives. My first baby was my furbaby. We named him Squirt from Finding Nemo, he's the turtle's son. And we bought him at a time when I really needed him. We had just moved out into the middle of no where after getting married that July of 2007. I wanted a baby oh so badly, but financially it felt irresponsible so he was my baby.

Disney Princesses {Wordless Wednesday LINKY}

This past week has been a rough one and I will update you more on that later. The picture I have for this week my very sweet sister-in-law took because she helped me out and made sure my daughter still had a great time while I was busy taking care of everything. It's so wonderful to have amazing family you can rely on.

They went to a little story time and then dance party at Queen Bee Coffee Company. They had to dress like Disney characters. Can you guess who everyone is?

Bath Time with Hurley Hippo

I received this product complimentary to provide an honest review. All opinions are my own. Contains affiliate links.
Bath time in our house is not only a part of our nightly routine, it is also a big part of our play. We not only take a bath when the kiddos are dirty, but as a way to calm them down when nothing else will. We have quite a few bath toys and I am always looking for a good storage system. That's why I was excited when I received the Hurley Hippo Bath Toy Organizer from Cheraboo to review.

My biggest concern with this bath toy organizer was the material it is made of. I thought it was foam at first. Hurley is actually made of quick drying, phthalate free synthetic rubber. Plus with a mesh net, water just drains straight through so you don't have to worry about mold and mildew on the organizer or your children's bath toys.

Smart Simple Snacking with Nature Valley

School is right around the corner. Can you believe it? It feels like this summer has just flown by! My daughter will be in five days a week pre-school this year and she is starting dance. So our schedule will be jammed packed and we will always be on the go. I am excited for everything the new school year will bring, but this means I will have to choose smart, simple snack options that are great for on the go. Here's a sneak peak of my go-to items that are in my bag for the school year.

Besides having a great bag, diapers and wipes for my youngest and other essentials, I am excited about Nature Valley Simple Nut Bars as my new go-to snack. These super yummy bars come in two varieties: Almond Cashew Sea Salt and Roasted Peanut Honey Original (my favorite). They are only made with 7 simple ingredients, like roasted almonds, roasted sunflower seeds, and sea salt. They are gluten free, made with no high fructose corn syrup, and kosher dairy.
