Sweet Pea's [Nearly] Completed Nursery: Pink & Brown Polkadots

Wooden Letters were made by my step-mom.

And the tulle balls hanging were from Sweet Pea's shower and my MIL's idea to hang them in her room.

The reason it's only nearly finished is because her curtains aren't hung and her homemade mobile isn't hung yet either.

Sweet Pea's bed is ready for her arrival! ;)
Although we have a bassinet set up in our room.

And the diaper stockpile ready for Sweet Pea's rear end. ;)

Goodbye Work! & Hello Bed Rest...

I am very sad to announce that after five years of taking care of two of the most adorable kiddos ever, I have to leave. I went to the doctor today and although there was no protein in my urine and my blood pressure was lower, they want to keep me on bed rest. So I can't work my last week.

As sad as I am and as much as I'm going to miss them, I'm so happy to be starting this new journey.

36 weeks ♥ 9 months preggo

So at the doctor they said if she decided to come they wouldn't stop her. I want her to come when she's ready although I'm hoping she comes a little early because I'm miserable. We finished her nursery today I'll post pictures tomorrow. :) Here's how baby is doing:

Been looking into labor and breast feeding a lot. I hope she's able to do it. I'm trying to go into everything realistically. I don't really have a birth plan except I DO want an epidural and I DON'T want a c-section unless absolutely necessary. And I want to breast feed but I realize that for one reason or another we may not be able to. But I'm going to try my best to stick with it and hope for the best.

When I went to the doctor they put me on bed rest and mentioned Toxemia/pre-eclampsia. So I started doing a little research on it. Here seem to be the symptoms of Toxemia(the ones with the check marks are the ones I have): elevated blood pressure ✓ , protein in the urine (find out Monday), bloating of the hands ✓ , feet ✓ and face ✓ due to fluid retention, and hyper-reflexia. And here are the ones of Pre-Eclampsia: high blood pressure ✓ , protein in urine (find out Monday), water retention ✓ , fatigue ✓ , abdominal pain ✓ , headaches, nausea, the inability to tolerate light that is bright ✓ , blurred vision ✓-sometimes, shortness of breath ✓-sometimes, and infrequent urination. So I'm a little nervous about the results for Mondays appointment. But we'll see. Apparently they usually induce or tell you just to stay on bed rest depending on how bad it is. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Ok that's it for now. I still don't have my thank you cards done but I did make a big dent in them. :)

Bed Rest

Went to the doctor today for my 35 week check-up (although I'll be 36 weeks on Saturday) and they put me on bed rest. I was technically suppose to be on it Saturday but they said I could still work as long as I took it easy but now they said because my blood pressure was so high then, on Tuesday (found out at our Insurance check-up), and today plus with my swelling that I need to be on complete bed rest. I worked it out with my boss so we'll see how it goes after Monday (which is when my follow-up appointment is). I really want to work my last week. I love my kiddos so much. They want to check my urine for protein so I have to keep all my urine in this containment thing on Sunday (SO GROSS!). Well that's it. I thought I would give a little update just so everyone can know what's going on.

At least this will give me time to do my thank you cards. :)

35 weeks, exhausted, and UH-OH

Last night, at around 11:15 p.m., I thought my water broke. We called that on-call mid-wife and she told us to come in. Turns out (clearly) it was a false alarm. I'm not leaking amniotic fluid, which is good. They did an ultrasound and everything looks okay. She looks like she weighs about 5 pounds 12 ounces. They drew some blood and I'll have to look up what it was called but I some level of something that was a little high. They gave me special socks for my swelling. We had to stay overnight which was annoying! So anyways they told me to take it easy and they'll follow up at my appointment on Thursday. They also said she is head down and has dropped. So here's hoping she comes early. :)

Two more weeks left of work. And I'm exhausted. Hopefully we'll be able to get through these last weeks.

Here's a general idea of how the baby (and mom) are doing otherwise:
