Tuscan Sausage & Kale Ragu with Butternut Squash Fettuccine Recipe #VeryHealthy

I received complimentary products to share this recipe. All opinions are my own.

I recently received the Very Healthy Spiral Slicer from Varietyland to review and some Tuttorosso products, so I thought I would recreate this recipe. It was a little more complicated than I tend to cook, but I was able to do it. t was also a little on the pricey side, but so are healthier meal options. My picture looks NOTHING like the original, but this meal was still super yummy. Hubby wants to add it to our regular recipes...I said, "We'll see."

20 Keto Approved Side Dishes To Complete Family Dinner Time

My husband and I have been trying to lose weight for over a year. We have been stuck in a rut and decided that we needed to do an overhaul on our diets. My in-laws have had a lot of luck recently with the ketogenic diet and although my husband and I have been considering for a while, we never made the plunge. That was until we watched "The Magic Pill" on Netflix. This documentary was really an eye opener for us and made us want to recommit to our health. Check out this Keto Macro Calculator to help you with your ketosis, weightloss needs.

Deceptively Delicious Baby Food Style - Baked Egg Puffs

I bought a TON of baby food (30 jars to be exact) a while back because Publix was having an awesome BOGO sale that made it (combined with a $1/3 Beechnut coupon) that I made money.

Autumn Bucket List Activities for the Family to Enjoy

Who is excited for fall? This past weekend was the first time that the weather actually felt like fall for us. Living in south problems I guess. But I am so excited to start enjoying all the fun activities that autumn has to offer whether the weather starts cooperating or not. So I decided to keep going with my seasonal bucket list activities and make one for Fall too!

Autumn Bucket List Activities for the Family

Winter is our busy time of year. I know winter doesn't technically start until the end of December, but I included all of Christmas activities on that one. This list is just fun fall activities. Each year we visit our local ecotourism farm that has many of the activities included on this list. I highly suggest finding a local farm near you. It is such a great idea to support local. This year will also be the first time in MANY years that we will also be attending the Georgia National Fair in Perry, GA with the whole family. Follow all of our family's adventures on Instagram.

Beech-Nut Organic is Real Food For Babies + Giveaway

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Beech-Nut. I received a free coupon to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

When you think about branching out and giving your baby something besides breast milk or formula, you want the best for them. Some moms make their own baby food, I tried for a while. Making your own baby food can be fun, but sometimes it can be time consuming. That's why I love the new Beech-Nut organic line because I can still give my baby the best without the guilt because it isn't baby food, it' real food for babies.

Beech-Nut believes every baby deserves real food that is bright, bold and unique, and as close to homemade as possible.

Peanut Started Solids!

So we started Peanut on solids. We decided to go with Squash (we gave him butternut) because I read it was one of the best food for babies to start out with.

This is from his first time eating:

And this video is from after I made some homemade yellow squash baby food which he loved even more! He has also tried applesauce which he isn't really a fan of (of course it was jar food) and carrots (which he LOVES). I've been using the baby food recipes that came with my Cook-n-Blend baby food maker.

What's Up With Squash? {29 Weeks Pregnancy Update}

I am 29 weeks pregnant today, officially in my 3rd trimester as of last week. The baby is about the size of squash, either acorn or butternut depending on who you ask. Or even a small pumpkin according to my side bar ticker. Either way, baby seems to be about 2 1/2 lbs and around 15 inches long. :)

29 weeks pregnant

I have been having a little trouble to keep up with blogging as of lately and that's mainly due to the holidays, but also slightly due to the fact that I had my 28 week check-up on Monday and besides having SweetPea there plus having to keep her entertained while I took the the 1-hour glucose test again, I found out that we had until delivery to pay $3,000 and then they took my blood pressure...

My husband has a plan to pay for delivery (why they didn't tell us sooner, I have no idea), so that's not a problem, but I still have to go back earlier than scheduled to make sure my blood pressure comes down. Hubby is on vacation next week for his birthday (he's turning the big 3-0) so I won't have to bring SweetPea this time. I think that stresses me out when I have to bring her as well.

I have been doing a great job about my weight but I have noticed I gained the most the week before my appointment. If you have been following my blog for a little bit, then you know I had pre-eclampsia with SweetPea and my doctor told me at my 24 week check-up that although controlling my weight can try to help, I am high risk just because I had it before. She said she has seen just as many under weight women have pre-eclampsia and it effects all women of all sizes. There really is no pre-exsisting conditions that determine it, although over weight women are at higher risk of developing it.

So I am a nervous wreck. I did discover that second hand smoke can contribute to high blood pressure. Just thought I would throw that out there for anyone reading this that knows someone who smokes.

I do have some swelling and have been having some headaches as well. I really hope I don't get pre-eclampsia again and have to go on bed rest this early.

For anyone interested, we are still team green, but I have been having lots of dreams lately that I'm holding a little boy, so who knows. :)

I will try and update after my appointment. And I hope you all are having a Happy New Year so far! :)
