Seed’s Daily Synbiotic Subscription Review

I am not a newbie when it comes to probiotics. I have been recommended that I take them for so long due to my tummy troubles. I have reviewed so many over the years, especially since I started really working on my wellness journey. It doesn't matter how clean I eat, how much water I consume, or how much I work out, I will still get random abdominal pain. It has been recommended that I take probiotics and there is science to support that they can help with whole body health as well.

Any type of review of a supplement can be tricky because each person's body is so different; Is it really making my tummy feel better? Or was it just what I ate? Does my skin really look clearer? Or is it my hormones? Do I really feel more energized? Or did I just get better sleep than before? So many factors play a role for each and every person when it comes to health. The key is when ever you are taking a new supplement, write down your daily activity including sleep and what you eat. Then keep track of the claims. If it says it will help your skin, then start keeping track of how your skin is doing from day 1 to day 30.

A few things I liked about Seed at first glance; the packaging is gorgeous and sustainable. Seed's Daily Synbiotic doesn't have to be refrigerated - I don't know this always bothered me when supplements required refrigeration afterward. Seed is a company I feel confident backing because I was required to educate myself and participate in their @SeedUniversity before I was able to become an affiliate, review this product, or share anything about them online.

So what does synbiotic even mean? "Synbiotic" is a term that means you're getting a probiotic and a prebiotic. Seed’s Daily Synbiotic is aprobiotic with 24 clinically studied, naturally occurring strains not found in yogurt or fermented foods and beverages, plus a non-fermenting prebiotic compound sourced from Indian pomegranate.

I've talked about prebiotics in the past and basically they are food for good bacteria. Prebiotics support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut, both probiotics and your own existing microbiota. But scientists have also realized that bacteria can actually biotransform certain prebiotic compounds (such as the prebiotic included in the Daily Synbiotic) into secondary metabolites, like short-chain fatty acids, that are critical to your health. You can get other prebiotics through certain vegetables and plant foods like fibrous cassava or jicama. But, like with most supplements, it's likely you are getting everything you need from what you eat alone.

What I liked about Seed at a closer glance. Seed Daily Synbiotic includes the probiotic and prebiotic in separate portions of the capsule so that they actually dissolve and enter your gut at different times during transit. The recommendation is to take Seed Daily Synbiotic on an empty stomach if possible. The prebiotics are research-proven to be microbiota accessible, and they come from pomegranate, and the capsule also includes choline, another vital nutrient. I was asked to try this product a full month before reviewing so I could give my personal results.

With so much more research being done about probiotics, they have been not only linked to help improve gastrointestinal function and gut barrier integrity, but also cardiovascular health, and skin health. I did have minor discomfort the first few days, which was expected according to the directions especially since I have a sensitive stomach. But I am happy to report that things are moving a lot smoother than before.

While I suggest a probiotic, if you already are taking one that seems to be working for you, then I wouldn't suggest a switch. But if you were like me and having trouble with finding something that worked, then I highly suggest Seed's Daily Synbiotic because it takes the guesswork out of probiotics and prebiotics. Plus you can use my code NAN2MOM for 15% off your first month!

Do you take probiotics/prebiotics? What do you think of Seed and their @SeedUniversity?

  2. My doctor suggested Probiotics for me some four or five years ago. I take pain meds that sometimes tie up my gut. I have constipation, rumbling, etc. You are so right about your body may go through some changes in the beginning. The first few days, it was like my stomach and my bowels were trying to get into sync. I didn’t have any constipation and less gas. I believe though, like any other kinds of meds that your body gets used to the pills. So when I felt the old feelings start to come back. So I started a new kind of probiotic. This Seed Daily Sinbiotic sounds really interesting! Of course, these pills have to be taken daily to keep you consistent. If I understand this correctly, I would be signing up for a monthly subscription?? I always like to try stuff first and check it out with my doctor. My grandkids are on probiotics too. This was pin worthy! Thank you for sharing.
