Baby Shower Gift Idea: Give Books Instead of Cards

I know so many people who are pregnant right now that I put together a HUGE list of Unique Baby Shower Gifts for the New Mom. My favorite gift idea though is to give a book instead of a card. Although appreciated, my children have their baby shower cards stuffed into a box somewhere. With a book you can write a sweet note inside the front cover, sign your name, date it, and you have given something that is useful and sure to be viewed often. They even make personalized story books now too.

There are two new board books from Studio Fun and Silver Dolphin that I would love to share with you for just this occasion.

Sesame Street: 5 Little Rubber Duckies is educational fun for little ones 2 and up, as they learn their numbers with Elmo and friends! Join Ernie and his friends on Sesame Street as they try to find five little rubber duckies in this fun, hands-on board book! With touch and trace elements perfect for little hands and plastic duckies to push and count along, this book is the perfect story time activity for early learners. Also available in Spanish (5 Patitos de Hule)!

In 10, 9, 8…Owls Up Late!, ten little owls are playing in a tree, hopping and hooting happily. But Mama Owl calls from down in the nest, “It’s bedtime now; it’s time to rest.” Peek through the pages and spot the mischievous owls in this fun counting book, perfect for bedtime! Featuring fun rhyming text, funny illustrations and peek-through die-cut pages.

  8. I would love to win this to enjoy reading with our only grandchild= 1 year old grandson, Ashton. I loved reading to our 5 kids when they were growing up and I love reading with Ashton too and he also enjoys it. He recognizes the Sesame St. characters from when we took him to see Sesame St.Live recently when it was in Detroit and he loves ALL animals just like his Grandma & PopPop so I know he would love the owls too. I also like that there is counting and rhyming in the books. I think it's a good idea to get baby books with a personal inscription for baby showers instead of greeting cards.

  12. The thought utilizes a less complex kind of shower appended on to the side of a divider and the shower can be moved as it is associated with a pipe.shower head filter for hard water
