Lunch Box Ideas for Kids of All Ages

During school season, I make my daughter's lunch everyday. I don't have anything about buying her lunch or those that do, but this is just what I choose to do for our family. It isn't an inconvenience for me and I actually like doing it. I know I'm weird. Maybe one day I will get to where I'll give her lunch money or maybe she will want to buy her lunch one day, but as of right now - we get creative with our lunch box ideas for kids of all ages.

Lunchbox Snacks

- NEW Welch’s Fruit Rolls deliver the same quality consumers love in Welch’s Fruit Snacks, in a new, irresistibly fun format. Featuring fruit as its first ingredient, they come in three mouthwatering flavors: Berry, Tropical Punch, and White Grape Strawberry. - We tried this previously in a Degustabox and my daughter LOVES them!

- The Little Kernel is a miniature popcorn brand with a unique, hull-less, “miniature kernel.” Popped in 100% pure olive oil, each kernel is gluten-free, non-GMO, dairy-free, kosher and certified whole grain. Because they are little they don't get stuck in your teeth like traditional popcorn. My son LOVES popcorn so he was a huge of Little Kernel. In fact he loves these SO much that he ate an entire bag in a day!

- Go Organically Fruit Snacks are USDA-certified organic, made with real fruit, GMO-free, gluten-free and preservative-free. Even better, these tasty and smart snacks are only 70 calories for each individual pack. - Another great Degustabox find!

- Viki’s Granola On-the-Go Packs are made with 100% all natural ingredients, gluten-free and baked with love. With a fresh, soft and chewy texture, Viki's Granola is great to enjoy on its own or with yogurt for a nutritious snack. Great as a salad topper too!

- This year, take the guess work out of packing snacks with Entenmann’s® Little Bites®. They are made with real ingredients like blueberries, banana and cocoa and come in perfectly portioned pouches, making sending your kids back to school a breeze.

- Gaea Organic Snack Olives are packed in a handy re-sealable package, without liquid, allowing the convenience of snacking now and later. 100% natural, containing zero additives or preservatives and very low salinity, Gaea’s Organic Olives make for a delicious savory snack.

- MadeGood granola bars, bites, and NEW! Crispy Squares are not only delicious, but also allergy friendly (free from top 8 food allergies: peanut, tree nuts, wheat, dairy, egg, soy, sesame, fish, and shellfish) and nutritious with a full serving of vegetables from six different sources including spinach, broccoli, and carrots in each snack. You would never know from the delicious taste! Also, are gluten-free, certified vegan, kosher parve, certified USDA organic, and Non-GMO. Plus, NEW Crispy Squares are made with organic crisp rice and cane sugar. First in its field to offer a healthier alternative to the traditional crispy square favorite in Vanilla and Chocolate.

Lunchbox Main Course

- Lightlife Deli Slices - This school year, say goodbye to turkey and ham sammies, and say hello to Lightlife’s new vegan veggie deli slices! Available in two flavors, Chickpea & Red Pepper and White Bean & Kale, these brand new Lightlife creations will definitely be your go-to for a lunchtime sandwich or wrap.

Nasoya Extra Firm Tofu - Scared of cooking with tofu? Fear not! With the right recipe, tofu can be just as delicious as traditional proteins. For kids, try tofu versions of their favorite snacks like this bite-sized Popcorn Tofu recipe!

- StarKist Tuna and Salmon Creations now come in pouches – ideal for busy moms! These protein-packed meals help kids stay fueled for the day, while making lunch-packing a breeze. With 12 great flavors to choose from and it’s no drain, no mixing required, it’s hard to find a reason not to pack them up! My favorite is the Hot Buffalo Style!

- Good Food Made Simple - Healthy options to turn to when life gets hectic. Eating well should be simple, so they craft the most flavorful, delicious foods using clean ingredients and simple recipes. My favorite item are the Breakfast Burritos. They come in all different varieties and they are a quick, easy meal option when I am in a hurry in the morning.

Lunchbox Beverages

- Skip the soda by opting for Sparkling Ice’s 8oz. Slim Cans. This slightly carbonated light and refreshing beverage contains Zero Calories, Zero Carbs, is Gluten Free, and is Sodium Free. This is our new favorite beverage since we have been trying to lose weight.

- Brooklyn Organics is the perfect beverage for those looking for a sugar-free drink option. Each contains a bold fizz in a svelte packaging and is USDA Organic-certified, non-GMO, Kosher, Gluten Free and Caffeine Free.

- AquaBall's naturally flavored water is the only zero-sugar, zero-calorie, zero-preservative children's beverage around. Available in four flavors and featuring fan favorite Disney and Marvel characters, AquaBall is not only fun for kids, but also smart for parents.
