Nutrisystem Week 1: 8 lbs down!

I received complimentary 3 month service from Nutrisystem to share my experience. All opinions are my own.

I'm excited to say that although my first week on Nutrisystem doing Fast 5+ was a learning curve, I lost 8 pounds!

I went to the store 3 times last week continuously buying fresh veggies. I did have creamer in my morning coffee, but I am down to only one cup a day and I started actually measuring out my creamer instead of just dumping it in.
I'm actually enjoying my coffee MORE because it isn't being diluted by too much creamer. I did use salad dressing that wasn't fat free because I don't want to waste what we have in the fridge BUT I am measuring that out as well and it is making me more aware of reading labels more. It as a vinaigrette too. I tried regular ranch and I have no idea what I'm going to do with it because it's too rich.

Nutrisystem Frozen shipment. Starting on Monday.

The biggest question people have asked me all week is...How does the food taste?! It actually tastes really good. The first day I did have something that was a little spicy for my tastes, but it was very flavorful. I did have two dinners that were bland, but you can add veggies and spices to make them flavorful so this really wasn't an issue. My husband wants to try everything, but I'm being a little selfish with my food. Tee. Hee.

Saturday we went to our local square because they were having a scare crow contest between local businesses. My husband wanted to eat at a local place there. I forgot my Nutrisystem Nutri-Crush shake so I was hangry. Hungry/Angry. I got my chesse and bacon on the side and measured out my dressing still on my awesome spinach salad. So I still stayed on my plan.

Sunday we went to the fair and it was a bit of a learning curve because I had to bring my food, but I had planned it out so I had bars for lunch and wouldn't need a microwave. The restaurant inside the fair let me have ice of my afternoon shake, so I didn't get hangry even though I forgot my carrots at home. My biggest issue has been making sure I have been getting the required exercise in. 30 minutes a day doesn't seem hard to come by, but after running after the kids, shuttling back and forth between appointments, cleaning, cooking, and blogging it's hard to find the time. But I'm working on it.

So here are my Nutrisystem stats:
Starting Weight - 238
Week 1 Weight - 230

Although I received complimentary products to provide this review. All opinions are my own.
