A Pest Free Play Area with Hot Shot® Insecticides

Recently my daughter had a nasty wasp nest in her play house. It's summer and we want to enjoy the outside, but I don't want to have to worry about my daughter getting stung while she pretends she is on a captain of a pirate ship or on a bear hunt in a dark, spooky cave (both things she actually pretends the most).

If you are anything like me, the thought of ANY kind of insect around your little ones just freaks me out! So not wanting the bugs to feel at home in her play house, we bought some Hot Shot® Wasp & Hornet Killer3.
The Hot Shot® brand is our go-to insecticide because it is friendly, approachable and family-oriented. We did have to spray the house a few times, a few days in a row. And as you can see we had to take the roof off because we wanted to make sure we got every last wasp out. But it did do the job! And now she can play pretend outside in a wasp free play house in peace.

Now on for a sweepstakes! The sweepstakes for July is: Who’s the Hero? It’s a fun and easy way to weigh in on who actually does the deed (Mom or Dad) in your house when it comes to keeping bugs from feeling at home. Visit the Hot Shot® Insecticides Facebook Page for all the details.

I can tell you right now, the "Hero" is NOT me. I always tell Hubby to "GET IT! GET IT!" whenever I see any creepy, crawly thing.

Does your child like to play pretend? How do you keep your child's play area pest free? What do you think of the Hot Shot® brand? Who is the "Hero" in your house?

  1. LMAO I literally just told my daughter last night "mommy is not who you come to for spiders" and, of course, by spiders I mean ALL BUGS. No creepy crawlies.

  2. I keep the yard safe from ants by pulling the weeds. We have some weeds that attract ants.
