How to Introduce Your Dog to Your New Baby

Bringing home a new baby is one of the most exciting and nerve-wracking experiences of parenthood. While you’re preparing the nursery, stocking up on diapers, and mentally adjusting to life with a newborn, there’s one family member you may be overlooking: your dog.

When I was pregnant with my first child, one of my biggest worries was how our beloved dog would handle the transition. Would he be jealous? Would he feel neglected or, worse, act out? These concerns kept me up at night. The good news is, with a little preparation and thoughtful planning, the transition from “only fur-child” to “big furry sibling” can go surprisingly well.

How to Introduce Your Dog to Your New Baby

I’m not a dog trainer or a behaviorist, but I am a mom who’s been through it, and these are the practical steps that worked for our family. Every dog is different whether you have a Bernedoodle or Great Dane, so your results may vary, but I hope our experience offers some guidance and reassurance.

Experiencing #MilestoneMoments with P&G and Pampers

I received a similar prize pack to share this information provided by Proctor & Gamble. All opinions are my own.

We have been a huge fan of P&G products in our home for a long time. Tide is the only laundry detergent that my husband and SweetPea can use on their sensitive skin. Hubby can only use Old Spice deodorant. And Pampers are our top choice brand of disposable diapers.

Have you seen the amaziness of Noelle Pikus Pace? I love her story. She is a Pampers mom like me. P&G is sponsoring the Olympic Games and are offering some GREAT deal at Babies-R-Us right now!

Be #CartonSmart This Holiday Season

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carton Smart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I recently received the opportunity to review a great new product, Tetra Pak cartons from Pacific Foods. Now some of your favorite foods, vegetables, stocks, etc. can be found in these cartons instead of cans. I can’t wait for you to see what it means to Become Carton Smart.

With the Holiday season upon us, I have been baking and cooking up a storm. And I still have to cook everyday meals for the rest of the week! That's why I love this go-to recipe for just this time for year. It's filling and perfect for when you have been cooking, cleaning, or shopping all day and just don't feel like making dinner. What I love are quick easy solutions, what I dislike are are canned messes that leave you with a metallic taste.
One of my go-to easy recipes is Creamy Crock Pot Spaghetti.

Super easy to make between the hustle and bustle of the season and very yummy. Creamy Crock Pot Spaghetti requires chicken stock and since I received some Organic Chicken Stock to review, I thought this recipe would be a perfect opportunity to test it out.

A little product info about why Tetra Pak cartons are pantry stables for those that enjoy living smart:
• Tetra Pak® cartons are made of 70% paper, a renewable resource, from selectively harvested, re-grown trees that are FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council).
• Cartons use 1/3 of the packaging compared to cans.
• Cartons are space saving, stackable, easy to store and open. Keep your pantry neat and toss your can openers!
• The unique packaging process preserves the flavor and nutrients of food without the use of preservatives. Product quality is exactly the way it was intended to be.
• Recycleable and in fact result in 60% less landfill waste than cans.
• Cartons are re-closable so you can use what you need and save the rest for later.
And since I have been trying to reduce my families chemical intake, I felt these are a perfect solution!
Here is what I received from Pacific Foods:

As you can see, I also received Pacific Foods Pumpkin Puree which I used to make my first ever Pumpkin Pie and Pacific Foods Cranberry Sauce that was super easy to open! I brought the Cranberry Sauce to my mother's house for after Christmas dinner and everyone loved it!

Starting the Year Off with a Juice Cleanse {Skinny Limits Review}

I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms MeetSM program, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agreed to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of the product.

So since I am pregnant, I wasn't able to do the juice cleanse (which I knew going into this review), but the Hubby is trying to win a bet at work to lose weight so I asked him what he thought about trying a juice cleanse. My Hubby is very competitive and will do anything (except cheat) to win. So I thought this opportunity was something that would be right up his alley.

Skinny Limits Juice Cleanse Review
That's a lot of juice!

He had some reservations going in. Like would he be able to eat? Would he need to stay by the bathroom? Could he go to work and normally function? I honestly didn't have all the answers for him, so we did some research and he decided to give Skinny Limits a try.

Skinny Limits standard 3-day juice cleanse kit includes 18 bottles of juices total, in varying flavors and fruit/vegetable combinations. Each day he drank six 16oz bottles of juice. The ingredients in each type of juice are listed below:
• Pure & Simple (Green Juice): Kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber, apple, and lemon.
• Balance (Green Ginger): Kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber, apple, lemon, and ginger.
• Green Firefly: Kale, spinach, parsley, celery, cucumber, apple, lemon, and pineapple.
• Scorpion Lemonade: Lemons, agave nectar, cayenne, and filtered water.
• Crescent Moon: Raw cashews, vanilla bean, cinnamon, agave nectar, coconut oil, himalayan sea salt, and filtered water.

Hubby said they all tasted pretty good except the Scorpion Lemonade. He said you could tell that was the one for the cleanse part.

He took a picture of the order he had to follow and I made sure to pack what he needed for work.

Skinny Limits Review

Skinny Limits juices are completely natural and raw, made without pasteurization or processing. Plus they are vegan and gluten-free! All Skinny Limits juices are made fresh to order and delivered immediately after being produced. All juices must be refrigerated immediately upon arrival. The retail price of a 3-day Skinny Limits juice cleanse (18, 16oz bottles) is $147.

We made a HUGE mistake going in. Hubby didn't eat the way he was suppose to going into the diet. You are suppose to eat fresh, plain Jane foods. Not a lot of carbs and very light. We had spaghetti for dinner the night before. HERE's how you start a cleanse right.

Weight Loss with Juice cleanse

Since we didn't set my Hubby up right from the start, he only managed to do two days of the cleanse. On the second day, we did have a normal dinner because he said he was done. But I think he did pretty well after a day on the cleanse. And I honestly was proud of him to just try it out for me.
