CIO

CIO or Cry It Out. I can NOT do this method. I was always the one (before I ever got pregnant) to say, 'Oh they'll be fine, just let them cry'. In fact I pretty sure I said this to a few of my friends who had babies.

Being a nanny I never had to use this method. Both kids would just go to sleep when you put them in a crib or bed. Of course I don't know how they would do at night.

My niece was always a screamer because she had TERRIBLE acid relux. And my nephew would sleep anywhere!

Parents.com and WhatToExpect.com has informed me that I should let my child 'cry it out' so she will learn to self-soothe. I can NOT do this.

It's actually quite funny because 'Raising Hope' just did an episode about this.

I've really, truly never have been a big fan of the CIO method. I don't see how people couldn't just get to a certain point and pick the baby up. I know this is one of those BIG controversial mom debates. But I want to know, is there a way to adjust them without crying?

Lizzie's 4 Month Check In!

Exactly 4 Months Old
Lizzie's four month check up today. Weight: 12.2 pounds (25%), Height 23 1/2 inches (25%), Head 42 1/2 inches(90%!). She had to have four shots today. It breaks my heart every time. But she was a big girl! The doctor said she is doing really well. He said we could start on solid foods, cereals and stage ones. He said the longer you wait, the more food allergies they tend to have. I feel she is ready so we went by Target, bought some cereal, and gave it to her for lunch today!

Yummy at first...

Then DONE!
It was INTERESTING to say the least! :) So our little girl is good and healthy!
(These picture were actually taken the next day when she tried bananas for the first time.)

Happy 4 Months, Sweet Pea!

Happy Saturday, everyone!
So I have been using our Wii Fit for my exercise. (I also have been walking and of course doing house cleaning and taking care of the baby which regardless of what any website says, I have a flight of stairs to run up and down so it counts!)
Anyways, today my baby girl turned four months old.

So we decided to create a Mii (the people used for each player in the games) so we could weigh her each month. It's a little off because I couldn't put her exact birthday or her height but none the less I created one. (She weighs 12.2 pounds BTW! :] )
I made my husband weigh himself and see what his Wii Fit age is. He hadn't used the Wii Fit in almost two years! (And wants me to get Zumba. I refuse to bring another exercise program into this house that isn't used - we already have P90X.)
Anyways we took this picture once we made Sweet Pea's Mii.

My DH is asleep because he's so lazy and I'm looking at him annoyed! HA!

Stone Mountain for My Bday

Thanks, Momma!

Lizzie and I spent the night with my mom the night before.
We went to Target beforehand to get some snacks and stuff where I bought this cheapo carrier that sucked...or maybe I'm just bad at babywearing...
It was hard to find a spot I felt comfortable nursing. :C
I was going to feed her in the 4D theater, BUT it scared her and she was inconsolable.
My niece and nephews did the rock climb, but I had to let Caleb borrow my shoes. So my mom basically bought me an upgraded pass so I could watch the laser show. :/
I seriously felt really bad about that, but she said it was okay as long as I had a good birthday gift.
Which I did.

Still had a good time. And I finally got a good nursing session in right before the fireworks, which she just slept right through!

Fun times!
