Happy 2 Months, Peanut! {Wordless Wednesday}

Two Months Breastfeeding Milestone

My average shorty with a big brain. :)
He is doing so well and is a happy, smiley baby. He likes to sleep on his tummy, being held, or in his Graco Lounger. He is doing the baby sleeping through the night - 6 hour stretches - on most nights. He has started biting when we are nursing, hopefully I can nip it in the bud before he gets any teeth. He is a very messy and noisy eater. He is very boogery and poops a lot. He is about to outgrow some 0-3 month clothing and his size 1 diapers very soon. He takes a breastmilk bottle really well. Pumping is going good even with my old pump because he doesn't mind loud noises. He's getting better at keeping the mam pacis in his mouth. He is starting to lose a little bit of hair right in the back.

When we went to his two month check up he had to have 3 shots and one oral. He cried for a long time after his shots and even SweetPea cried she felt so bad for him. It was actually kind of cute.

I promise I'll share his birth story one day. Although it's sad to think that may be my last pregnancy, I think he is our last baby so I am trying to enjoy every moment. So things may be slack on the blog, but babies don't keep.

We are going to be a family of 4...

So if you follow me on Instagram (and you should be), then I let some really huge news get out...Click HERE to see how I told my husband...

In March, Sweet Pea is getting promoted to big sister!

We got our BFP on July 16, which as some of you may know, that day isn't a good day for me at all, so it was truly wonderful to see those two little pink lines.

I went to the doctor for my yearly exam a few days later. They told me it took a while to show up which just meant that I was early. 4 weeks, 5 days by my calculations. But we at least felt comfortable enough to tell our immediate families.

Waiting for my ultrasound felt like FOREVER! I was so scared. I found out with Sweet Pea when I was already 7 weeks, so finding out that early made the whole process more nerve racking.

Appleseed's First Ultrasound

I had my first ultrasound when I was 6 weeks, 4 days. Baby had a strong heartbeat and was measuring perfectly.

I'm sorry it has taken this long to announce on here. We had to call family members and make sure grandparents, great-grandparents, etc knew before we could tell anyone. Thank you to everyone who has sent the congrats, we really appreciate it!

I am 8 weeks today and although not suffering from the exorcist-like nausea I did experiences with Sweet Pea, I am still having my moments. So far though, this has been such a smoother pregnancy *knock on wood*. No weird red splotchy skin this time around, except the weird spots on my face are still showing, but my Pond's BB Cream (review to come) is helping with that.

Anyways, thank you all for bearing with me with my lack of posts and I hope to keep updating you all each week! :)

2 Month Check In

These pictures were taken on 2/9/2011:
2 Month Old Lizzie
2 Month Old Lizzie

Her newest accomplishments are (maybe I should say so far):
1- Holding her head up:

Lizzie can hold her head up!

2- Smiling:

3- Rolling over. She hasn't officially rolled over but the other day she was crying while I was in the bathroom and when I came out she had rolled over in her swing. So needless to stay we have to make sure we strap her in everywhere.

4- Sleeping through the night in her bassinet. She sleeps for two five hour stretches which makes me one happy momma! :)

Valentine's Day was this month and here she is all dressed up (Isn't she cute? :]):

Valentine's Day

Her 2 month check up was today (we are still behind from the ice storm). But we will be caught up by the next one. I got there early because I thought then maybe we could go back early, which we did. While we were waiting in the lobby, I had to feed her and these people sitting across from us were giving us dirty looks. I wanted to smack them. I'm feeding my baby. This is a very natural thing. Get over it. If it makes you fee uncomfortable move. There are two doctors in the practice and we saw the one we usually haven't been seeing. I didn't really care for him. She weighed 10.4 pounds (40%), 22 inches long (%25), and her head measured 40cm (%75). So she is a short, average weight baby with a big head. :) He said her spitting up wasn't reflux and he talked about the possibility of giving her food at four months....I don't know what to think about that. Well once the doctor left we waited for EVER! I poked my head out and then a nurse asked what we were waiting for, shots or to see the doctor. Then she apologized for the wait and came in. Baby girl had fallen asleep:

They had to wake her up so she could get an oral shot. And they had to give her FOUR SHOTS, two in each thigh. :C Poor baby girl cried like I have never heard. it broke my heart but I didn't cry this time! :) Which helped her get over it faster.
