I have been looking for ways to combat summer "brain drain" and boredom. It's funny, my daughter says she's bored until there is cleaning to be done. Anyways, my daughter LOVES making crafts. And I have found an easy way to make a ton of crafts without blowing the budget.

I have mentioned once or twice that I know quite a few people who are expecting. I am always looking for unique shower gifts that are also very useful. Our house is on the market. It has been a nerve wracking experience to say the least. But it means I have been wanting to clean all the things! Laundry is one of those on-going battles. And I seem to have been doing it more often because I don't want anyone that comes to see our home to also see our dirty laundry.

I have some craft ideas (that I will be sharing soon) and we have even been getting creative in the kitchen together. My daughter actually likes flash cards, so we have been working with those. We also bought some BOB books and she has started recognizing more sight words.

I love the idea of juice, but usually they are too sweet for me. But water day in and day out can get boring. I just realized that I haven't been sharing too much of my personal life lately. Even though SO MUCH has been going on!

 My daughter "graduated" pre-k and will be off to Kindergarten next year. She is registered and ready to roll. I'm so excited for her and I know she will have so much fun. We have so many fun plans for the summer, including learning activities so she doesn't get "lazy brain" over the summer.
 

Our Spring Dance Recital was this past weekend. My daughter did great, but I think the stress of performing over whelms her. This is the second time she has cried backstage. She wants to try gymnastics and we are going to let her. We were invited to participate in company and as exciting, amazing opportunity as that is, I just don't know if she will be able to handle all of the competitions/performances that requires. I'm still torn, but ultimately I just want her to be happy.
