How to Make Homemade Bath Bombs

Looking for a great and simple gift idea that is also fun to make? I loved making these bath bombs (aka bath fizzies) for friends and family. These is a great gift idea for those looking for some self-care. And I love that you can make so many different colors, shapes with different molds, and fragrances using essential oils that can match different needs.

How to Make Homemade Bath Bombs

What You Need:

1 cup cornstarch powder
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons essential oil (eucalyptus or lavender recommended)
4-5 drops soap dye
Bath bomb molds (or candy/ice molds)

What You Do:

1. Mix all dry ingredients together.

2. Add 4-5 drops of soap dye, mixing quickly.

3. Once color is mixed in evenly, add your essential oils.

4. Finally, add the olive oil, one tablespoon at a time.

5. Once your mixture is ready, firmly pack it into the molds, pressing as hard as you can so that the mixture fills every crevice. Let the bath bombs dry in the molds overnight (ideally 24 hours) before popping them out.

6. Enjoy a relaxing bath with one of your bath bombs or give them as gifts!
