Choosing Jewelry For Your Wedding Day

There is no day quite as big as your wedding day. It is the most precious day of your life; something you will cherish and hold dear forever. And, every bride wants to look absolutely fabulous on their wedding day, don’t they? One area you need to give a lot of attention to is the diamond jewelry you choose to wear on your big day. After all, all eyes are going to be on you and you want your diamonds to sparkle and glisten.

Picking the diamond jewelry for your wedding day

When it comes to dealing with the diamond jewelry for your wedding day you need to contemplate everything; earrings, a necklace, a bracelet, and of course your wedding ring. You need to make sure that everything goes with one and other. You need to think about the complete picture. Therefore consider how you are going to have your hair and the style of your dress, and then pick jewelry that compliments this. If your dress is loud and of a princess style then you should opt for delicate diamond jewelry with perhaps one stand out piece, such as chandelier earrings. If you are going for a classic and sleek a-line dress then beautiful stud diamond earrings and a matching diamond encrusted necklace and bracelet looks stunning. Symbolization is also important for a lot of people, as jewelry can be the true expression of love. Consider different diamonds and shapes and their meanings.

Have you considered handmade jewelry?

In fact, it is recommended that you get handmade jewelry for your wedding day. This is highly beneficial because it means that you can go down the custom made route and match your jewelry perfectly to your dress and your hair. Moreover, handmade jewelry is of a much higher quality. There is a lot more love and care that is put into each piece of jewelry made. This means you will benefit from uniqueness and high quality; the perfect combination.

Before buying your diamond jewelry there are some key points you need to be aware of in order to be sure that you are going to benefit from a quality piece. These four points you need to be mindful of are called the ‘four ‘C’s’ and are as follows; clarity, cut, color, and carat. Clarity revolves around the level of inclusions found on the diamond. All diamonds have blemishes yet you need to make sure the one you buy does not have any obvious inclusions. The cut relates to the proportions of the diamond. This is a very important aspect because the glisten of the diamond is dependent on how well it has been cut. In addition to this you have the color. When it comes to your wedding day especially, the clearer the diamond is the better. And finally, the carat of the diamond depends on the weight of it. This is largely down to personal preference, however the bigger the carat the more expensive it will be.

  4. I'm not getting married, but I'm a fan of vintage style jewelry. I especially like cameos. Pearls and opals, especially in big, old-style brooches or bracelets are so pretty, too.
