I usually don't end up decorating for Fall much inside the house. I mainly decorate the front porch. I was walking through Kohls yesterday admiring all the Fall decor and pillows, so maybe I should add some Fall touches inside this year too!

The grandkids and I would go around the neighborhood pickup some beautiful leaves �� lying on the ground. We would also pick up some pine cones. I have a couple of really nice fall dishes. We dried the leaves and then shellacked them. After they were dried, we would get the Super Glue and make little rain/dew drops on the leaves �� Then we would spray the pine cones with an aerosol spray that has the aroma of fall. I loved arranging all the leaves and pine cones on the plate around a pumpkin voltive candle. It’s simple, pretty and smells yummy! If the smell started disappearing, I would cut up a cinnamon stick and place some or all the pieces under the leaves and pine cones or sometimes I would add them when I first started laying down the leaves, etc. I didn’t want to overdue the smell of the candle. I guess it was a personal decision. That’s how we brought the outdoors indoors ��

ReplyDeleteMy granddaughters gather different colored leaves and iron them between waxed paper. Then they decorate their room with them.
