How to Save Money on Prescriptions

As a frugal mom, one of the questions that I get asked is how do you save on medical expenses. We all know that insurance can only take us so far and we are very fortunate to have a health savings account that helps us save for any type of medical expense, but if I can save money on prescriptions where I normally wouldn't get a discount then of course I am going to take it!

ScriptSave® WellRX is a great service that helps you do just that! All you have to do is take their free discount card or mobile app with you to your pharmacy and use it to get a discount when you fill your prescriptions!

What is great about ScriptSave® is that you can use it whether you have insurance or not! SO if you have a high deductible or copays, then you can still receive a discount. There’s no cost to the patient for trying the card – a pharmacist can price the medication with insurance, then compare that against the ScriptSave® WellRx price. You pay whichever rate makes most sense. Please note: You can only pick one discount – you can’t use the ScriptSave® WellRx discount on top of the insured price.

Below is a list or average savings when using ScriptSave®.

Price-shopping can be a time-consuming and draining process. The thought of calling around all the local pharmacies to ask what they charge for every medication in the family’s medicine cabinet is a lot of work. The ScriptSave® WellRx website and mobile app have an 'expedia-like' look-up tool – returning specific prices for all the pharmacies in a given zip code. A few clicks and you’ve immediately “called round” all your local pharmacies on one screen.

The free ScriptSave® WellRx App (available for iPhone and Android) app is very easy to use. Just click HERE or enter my code Nanny to receive access to your FREE prescription card. There is also a free printable & email-able savings card available as well. After you search for your prescription, the app will find the least expensive prescription and where you can find it.

What do you think of ScriptSave® WellRx and their FREE prescription savings card?
