5 Reasons to Visit Six Flags Over Georgia Fright Fest

The hubby and I got invited to experience Six Flag Over Georgia's Fright Fest. I was so excited because I haven't been since I was a kid. The recommended age was 12+, so we decided to make a date night of it.

We experienced a behind the scenes experience and witnessed how each ghoulish creature is created by a team of make up artists. My husband's goal the entire night was to make sure I was scared and he would jump at me. It was actually a fun bonding experience and we felt like kids again. It was such a fun idea for a date night too!

1. 6 Themed Haunted Houses to Choose From! This year Six Flags is offering six haunted houses and six scare zones, each with a different, unique theme preying on the worst nightmares known to man. You'll navigate dark streets and tight spaces full of rotting zombies, alien monsters, fanged vampires, and mutant cannibals.

2. Interactive Games. Six Flags has an all-new immersive game play area that is filled with space fog, new experiences, and prizes from another planet. Test your aim and skill at Alien Blast, as you try to knock three aliens off the pedestal. Kids of all ages will enjoy reaching their hands deep into our gooey Alien Slime and picking out an eyeball to determine the size of their reward. Games Play Passes are available for purchase so you can save!

3. Themed Drinks and Food. Their homemade fudge is prepared fresh at the park every day and features all-new seasonal flavors. Enjoy exclusive variations like Candy Corn, Wacky Worms, Body Parts, Zombie Mint, Monster Mash, Apple Pie, and Pumpkin Pie Fudge, along with your favorite classic flavors like Rocky Road and Peanut Butter Chocolate. Plus, their hand-dipped caramel and candy apples turn into pumpkins, ghosts, and limited edition poison blood-dipped apples.

JB's Sports Bar & Grille will offer seasonal beers, wines, and unique Fright Fest mixed drinks. We tried the Black Magic Margarita which is a mix of tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and black sand sugar. They also offer exclusive Fool's Gold and Pirate's Float cocktails, black and red beer flights, and non-alcoholic Ghoul-Ade and Witch's Potion. And you can get it in a light up skull mug.

4. LIVE Entertainment.
Demonatrix Unleashed features music, dancing, and tricks with a demonic twist. The dark Halloween music and lethal choreography will hypnotize you into submission forever. Plays at the Dare Devil Dive Stage. Check the Monstertainment Guide or mobile app for show times.

Dr. Fright's Dead Man's Party is back at the Crystal Pistol Music Hall! Every October, Dr. Fright holds what seems like a friendly neighborhood Halloween costume party. Local townspeople have no idea that the costumed zombies and ghosts are actually real—his creations crafted from murdered patients. Dr. Fright holds a Dead Man’s Party each year to celebrate his pride in the people he has killed and to showcase his freaky zombie inventions. However, unsuspecting guests don’t realize it’s also a way to lure new people to his house.

5. Thrill Rides. And last, but certainly not least - You can experience some of the fastest, tallest, wildest, gut-wrenchingest rides in the country-including a few record-breakers.

Check out the video below for our full experience including seeing a behind the scenes of how each character is uniquely created by the team of make up artists. We also went live on Instagram for the first time ever and do a complete walk through of one of the haunted mazes.

What do you think about Fright Fest?

I was invited to a media day at Six Flags Over Georgia to experience Fright Fest first hand along with other perks including free parking, complimentary food vouchers, etc. I have loved going to Six Flags since I was a child and am so excited to get to work with a company that I can stand behind.
