Life Lately

I just realized that I haven't been sharing too much of my personal life lately. Even though SO MUCH has been going on!

My daughter "graduated" pre-k and will be off to Kindergarten next year. She is registered and ready to roll. I'm so excited for her and I know she will have so much fun. We have so many fun plans for the summer, including learning activities so she doesn't get "lazy brain" over the summer.

Our Spring Dance Recital was this past weekend. My daughter did great, but I think the stress of performing over whelms her. This is the second time she has cried backstage. She wants to try gymnastics and we are going to let her. We were invited to participate in company and as exciting, amazing opportunity as that is, I just don't know if she will be able to handle all of the competitions/performances that requires. I'm still torn, but ultimately I just want her to be happy.

At the beginning of May, we put our house on the market. We want to live in roughly the same area. The schools are fantastic out here. Our current house was a great "starter home", we just need a little bit of an upgrade. We bought our house in 2007 right before the market crash, so we are just trying to break even. I don't think my husband or myself ever planned on being in this house as long as we have been. Getting it ready to sell and then keeping it "show ready" has been exhausting and stressful. Every decision we make to try to improve our house and make it "more sellable" feels like the wrong one.

I'm getting beyond frustrated with people not listening to me. My father-in-law (our realtor) suggested lowering the price. As long as we break even, then hopefully it will make it more appealing. We have had a few people come check out our house. The whole process makes me very insecure and vulnerable. Hopefully we will have some good news soon about an offer or something. We already have the house we want picked out. Which we shouldn't have done, as fun as it was. Because we can't afford to buy until we sell. I'm an over thinker and stress about everything.

So that's how things are going with us. If you see sporadic posts, that's why. :)
