Easy School Snacks with Cheerios + Giveaway

It's back to school time! We are already back to it because we are on a balanced year calendar, but some of you still have some time. With back to school means easy snack ideas. My daughter has to take a non-perishable easy-to-go snack to school every day. And I thought it would be fun to share a super easy recipe with all of you, that we make every so often for her to take.

Cheerios is not only one of our favorite things to have for breakfast, but our go to snack. For this recipe you could use any kind of Cheerios you'd like. We usually use Honey Nut, but this time we decided to change it up and use Banana Nut. I call it Cheerios Chex Mix, but you can call it whatever you'd like! Basically, I just take a 1/2 cup cheerios, 1/2 cup honey grahams, and 1/2 cup craisins (or raisins). Then I mix it all together and serve! You could also use pretzels, cheese crackers, chocolate chips, and/or other dried fruit. This is your time to shine and make it your own! I even let my daughter make her own. I set out a few bowls, give a half cup measuring cup, and let her go to town!

For a limited time, you can snag a box of Cheerios for free! Buy either a box of Original or Honey Nut and you can get either a box of Banana Nut, Frosted, Multi-Grain, Multi-Grain Peanut Butter, or Apple Cinnamon Cheerios for free! We just went to ReadyPlanSave.com, then dropped by our local Publix and it made for a great deal! Plus, you can earn money for your school by clipping and turning in the Box Tops for Education.

We love chocolate chip cookies, and while the honey nut onion rings sound interesting I'd have to make the Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies with Cheerios.
