Planning a 1st Birthday: Winter ONEderland

I have never planned a birthday party before in my life! I tried to plan Hubby's 25th birthday party but it was an EPIC FAIL! I do not want my daughter's birthday to be remembered as such. It's hers first and although I know she won't remember it, I want the pictures to show that it was beautiful and fun.
{This post has been updated to help others. ENJOY!}

Place:
My House
{Choose a place your child is familiar with. You don't want to over stimulate them!}

Time:
Probably around lunch time.
{We did 1 p.m., I suggest working around YOUR child's naps and not let others influence the needs of your child.}

Date:
Sunday; December 11, 2011
(Her original EDD :D But her birthday is actually the 9th)

Theme:
Winter ONEderland

Food:
Cake Ideas:
(Hopefully my mother-in-law's friend will make it *wink,wink*) ;)
{But don't forget about a smash cake! ;]}

Images found through Google search.

Other Food Ideas:

Hot Cocoa bar, smores, etc.
I have a TON pinned HERE. ;)

Decorations:
I've been looking around now for things. But I've also been looking online at stuff that maybe I could make.
{My Monthly Snowflakes - I had a little tree with white lights already so I made these to hang from it. There was a picture from each month including birth.}
I used the snowflake template found HERE.

View all my other pinned ideas HERE.

Invitations:
I sent out a Save the Date on Facebook to see a rough estimate of how many are coming. But I ordered formal invitations through Shutterfly with my Pampers GTG points.

I put this all on Pinterest, Follow my Winter ONEderland board:

  5. I am also loving the cakes! We never go all out like that on birthdays.... I don't do planning very well. I have a post about my lack of birthday planning skills.

  7. I remember both of my daughters' first birthday parties like they were yesterday. I'm still not sure how I had the energy to plan them and pull them off being sleep-deprived! Enjoy it and take lots of pictures, it goes by too quickly. :)

    Thanks for linking up with the Clever Chicks Blog Hop this week!
