We all want nothing more than to be understood. But for some kids, it isn’t as easy as it seems. Learning and attention issues are much more common in children than most people realize. It isn’t uncommon for parents to think that their children are just being lazy, need to work harder, or that they are in a phase that they will grow out of. Raising a child with learning and attention issues is a journey. And it’s one that’s full of ups and downs, successes and challenges, questions and decisions.

YAY it's October! That means sweaters, boots, all things pumpkin, and HALLOWEEN! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Before I had kiddos, I loved dressing up, going to themed parties, and even catching the Rocky Horror Picture Show live on stage in Atlanta. Those days are long behind me and now we have more kid-friendly festivities. And I'm TOTALLY okay with that!


Besides dressing the kiddos up in their super cute costumes, we love to go to our local pumpkin patch, enjoy some hayrides, carving pumpkins, indulge in too much candy, and watch Netflix for all of our spooky (the kid friendly way) streaming.

I'm so excited for Christmas! I know we just celebrated Halloween, but I have been patiently waiting until I can talk about Christmas! Being in our new house, we need some new decorations especially easy to store outside ones!

I am a stay-at-home mom and as much as I would love to go grocery shopping by myself, that just isn't realistic for our lifestyle. My daughter is in school, so I usually only have one in tow when I grocery shopping these days. My toddler son. Two of his favorite ways to keep him entertained are toys and snacks.

As soon as we head into our local Publix, we make sure to get the car grocery cart. It's a fun way to keep little ones entertained while grocery shopping. Sometimes we will head over to their bakery department and get a complimentary cookie, but most of the time we head straight to their baby aisle and grab some Gerber® toddler snacks.
