Planning a 1st Birthday: Winter ONEderland

I have never planned a birthday party before in my life! I tried to plan Hubby's 25th birthday party but it was an EPIC FAIL! I do not want my daughter's birthday to be remembered as such. It's hers first and although I know she won't remember it, I want the pictures to show that it was beautiful and fun.
{This post has been updated to help others. ENJOY!}

Place:
My House
{Choose a place your child is familiar with. You don't want to over stimulate them!}

Probably around lunch time.
{We did 1 p.m., I suggest working around YOUR child's naps and not let others influence the needs of your child.}

Decorations:
I've been looking around now for things. But I've also been looking online at stuff that maybe I could make.
{My Monthly Snowflakes - I had a little tree with white lights already so I made these to hang from it. There was a picture from each month including birth.}
I used the snowflake template found HERE.

Invitations:
I sent out a Save the Date on Facebook to see a rough estimate of how many are coming. But I ordered formal invitations through Shutterfly with my Pampers GTG points.

Free/Cheap Holiday Cards

I send out Holiday cards every year. Starting my first year with Greg when no one even knew who he was. But it can get expensive when you add in cards, stamps, and labels. Since stamps are something I can't change the prince on, that leaves cards and labels. I got free labels from Vista Print a while back. I only had to pay shipping, so I'm going to use those and very excited about them. Here are some deals I have found on Cards.

Get 10 Holiday Cards from VistaPrint.com for only $1.99. You can even get personalized ones!

My Publisher is offering 10 FREE Holiday Photo Cards, with Free Shipping! There is no purchase necessary, use coupon code HAPPY10FREE for the discount. This is fun because it also includes printing your return address on pretty lined envelopes! Have until 11/21 to make & order your 10 FREE cards. - Thanks SouthernSavers.com

Those are some good deals. So get to taking a nice Holiday photo and get those cards made. :)

10 Months

Wow, I haven't seriously updated this in a while. Lizzie will be 10 months old tomorrow. I can not believe it. At her 9 month check up (9/19), she weighed 16.6 pounds, Length 26 and 1/4 inches, Head 46 and 1/2 cm. She had to have two shots but she only cried for a second. My little peanut isn't so little anymore. She is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. She doesn't listen to me at all. She is no longer eating baby food - grown up foods all the way! :) She has been sick this week. Her first cold. She has a mild fever and a mucus-like cough. But she is a lot better now. She can wave goodbye and clap. She has three teeth. I'm so proud of her. I love her so much.

Sweet Pea's First Baseball Game

We took Sweet Pea to her first Braves game yesterday. Hubby didn't want us to go. I think because he wanted to go by himself. I insisted because I don't care that I am breastfeeding. I feel like sometimes he uses that against me so I have to stay at home and he gets to go out all the time. Regardless of what he thinks, he needs to either realize we should do stuff as a family or he should stay at home with us as a family.

Anyways even Hubby said Sweet Pea was perfect and that it was fun.

I had fun but baseball is boring without beer. ;)

Sweet Pea's First Vacation

Florida Bound!
We left later than intended because Hubby's Nanny (my MIL's mom) fell and was in the hospital because she broke her hip. We went and visited with her before we set out just to make sure she would be okay if we left. Sweet Pea was a trooper and did amazing!

Day 2:
We spent the whole day at the beach! This day was September 11. It was a beautiful day. Sweet Pea didn't care for the water or the sand. Well, she didn't know quite what to think about the sand. My MIL insisted I go up to the room to nurse. I feel like everyone wants if to be inconvenient for me so I will stop. :/

That night in Panama City we went to visit this pier that is across the street from Pier Park. Poor Sweet Pea was so tired.

Day 3:
We went to the beach and then went and raced go karts that night.

I finally got to nurse on the beach because my MIL went shopping. The boys didn't even notice! And it was very liberating. :D

Day 5:
We went to Pineapple Willy's for Dinner.

Some Random Pics, Just Because! :D

Sophie even had a blast at the Beach! :D

SweetPea's first sand castle! :D

Coming Home! It's a little Peanut on a big Peanut! :D
