Nanny to Mommy

It is Spring Break this week at our house. My husband had to work this week, so no vacations for us. And exploring the world will have to wait until another time. And that's fine. We love exploring where we live locally too. My issue is what do you do when the weather is bad and you have two cooped up kids to entertain all day?

The wintry wonderland of Disney’s Frozen also comes to life with Anna, Elsa, and the hilarious Olaf, as they discover that true love is the greatest magic of all.

I have two passions going into this parenting gig. The first is that I want my daughter to believe that she can be anything she wants as long as she works hard for it. Second, I want her to enjoy being a child as long as possible because time is fleeting. I still can't believe she turned eight in December. She loves playing outside with her friends, she loves school, she has enjoyed the extra curricular activities that we have joined, and she still love playing with dolls.

My daughter has received two different 19-inch dolls for Christmas that she loves, but they don't have the best quality to stand the test of time. So I wanted her to experience a real American Girl doll, like I had when I was younger, one that she could hopefully pass down to her daughter one day.

My daughter loves school and learning. I know that this isn't the case for all. My son just turned five and when he starts kindergarten next year, I know we will have our hands full especially when it comes to homework. But if you're child is like my son and school aged 2nd to 5th grade, I thought I would share our experience with a wonderful supplement to homeschool or at home tutoring program focusing on math.

They reached out to me before Christmas, but I was so slammed packed with Holiday Gift Guide stuff that I never got around to it. I wish I had sooner though because my daughter has absolutely LOVED this program! My daughter was in her class with another girl. The teacher was very nice and engaging.
