Finding Time for Make Up Everyday with LipSense

I have been trying to make more time for myself. It has been getting a little easier now that my kids are getting a little older. When my kids were babies, I kind of lost myself a little. I love makeup and dressing up. I also think it is important to not only make sure you take care of yourself, but spoil yourself a little when you're a mom because you do deserve it.

If you are like me, then you don't have time to keep reapplying your makeup all day long, but traditional lip sticks and glosses tend to fade throughout the day, like when you drink your morning cup of coffee. I recently had the opportunity to try out LipSense color and gloss thanks to RedGateBeauty.

Parents...Give Stock Instead of Toys with BusyKid

This post is sponsored by BusyKid. All opinions are my own.

I don't know about your kids, but mine have enough toys. We have a playroom full and now they are starting to take over their bedrooms and this is after donating a ton! I honestly don't know how they get so many; we are just very fortunate to have a lot of people in our lives that buy for them. But I have been thinking of moving to something different this year instead of toys. What if there was a way to help them learn to invest instead of cluttering our home with more stuff they don't need?

I have been trying to teach my daughter about earning her own money. Right now in the US, only 7 states require high school students to pass a basic finance test in order to graduate. The lack of financial education in schools are the major reason young Americans aren’t prepared to invest in their futures. But 89% of parents say tying allowance to chores is good training for the real world.

Maple Pumpkin Spiced Muffins Inspired by Stranger Things + Netflix Giveaway

So have you heard the news? Stranger Things Season 2 is coming back exclusively on Netflix just in time for Halloween. My husband and I are huge fans of the series and are very excited for season two. And plus there is time for you to binge watch season 1 if you haven't yet or if you are in need of a refresher.

I decided to create these Maple Pumpkin Spiced Muffins with Mini Waffles because I was inspired by Eleven's love of the frozen breakfast item. I used a box mix that was originally for pancakes. So this recipe is super easy to recreate and my kids loved them.

Creating Shareable Memories with TreeRing

So the mommy guilt is real in our house. Like seriously. My daughter has a beautifully detailed and decorated baby book filled with her firsts down to the exact day included with a picture. Pictures? Yeah I use to print TONS when she was a baby. But my son? I take a ton, but they aren't printed out and his baby book is only half filled because I never wrote stuff down. But I have found a cool app that helps eliminate "mommy/daddy guilt" - we all get so busy and although we snap a ton of pictures of our kiddos, it's often hard to compile them into memory books for them to look back on. TreeRing Memories helps remedy this issue.
