Finding Time for Make Up Everyday with LipSense

I have been trying to make more time for myself. It has been getting a little easier now that my kids are getting a little older. When my kids were babies, I kind of lost myself a little. I love makeup and dressing up. I also think it is important to not only make sure you take care of yourself, but spoil yourself a little when you're a mom because you do deserve it.

If you are like me, then you don't have time to keep reapplying your makeup all day long, but traditional lip sticks and glosses tend to fade throughout the day, like when you drink your morning cup of coffee. I recently had the opportunity to try out LipSense color and gloss thanks to RedGateBeauty.

LipSense is a long lasting liquid lip color that is guaranteed to last 4-18 hours. It is waterproof, smudge proof, kiss proof, and non-drying. It is lead-free, wax free, gluten free, vegan, kosher, and not tested on animals. LipSense is proudly made in the USA to ensure the highest standard of quality control.

How To Apply LipSense:
1. Prep. Clean and dry lips. Shake bottle.
2. Apply Color (3 Layers). Swipe one direction - thin layer - wait 10 seconds between. Mouth open - don't touch lips - "Tingle" is normal. If you make a mistake, they also sell "Oops! Remover".
3. Gloss (at least 5 seconds after color). Gloss is the 'magic' sealer and moisturizer. Reapply gloss before meals and throughout the day for long-lasting color.

So now that the basics are covered, let me tell you about my experience. So the first think you notice when applying is the tingle. Which, honestly, was very different. One time it was too much and I had to remove using makeup remover. I also had issues with my color lasting the full 18 hours at first which apparently means that I may be exfoliating. And I did notice that this might be accurate. But if you continue to ONLY wear LipSense for a week then gloss at night to speed up the process, then you can start to see better results.

I really loved the different color options. I loved wearing mine while on vacation. I liked using lip liner with it as it helps me no t make mistakes when applying any types of lip colors, but you can't use chapstick with LipSense because wax based products will break down the color. It needs to worn with shea butter based gloss. But what I love about LipSense is that once you get past exfoliating, it is a set it and forget it product that I don't have to worry about.
