I had a rough week last week. Being sick and having to still focus on the day to day was challenging. Hubby is more than busy at work and with the blog, housework, and just dealing with life, my brain and body had issues keeping up.
I wanted to scream at someone (thank God more voice was gone). I felt completely overwhelmed. There isn't another word for it.
Last night I was going through pictures of my daughter, as I do from time to time, and although I felt like pulling out my hair, I couldn't help but cry of joy. I love them so much. I love that they drive me insane on a day to day basis. My life would be completely empty without them.
Although the Wordful part of this post is anything but Simplistic, these pictures are simplicity to me. Sweet, precious, innocence of a child blowing bubbles.

I bought 12 Campbell's Go Soups! 12! Why might you ask? I had 10 $2 off coupons, and they were only $1.50. I just couldn't resist.

It has been a while since I really shopped. I had more planned to get today but Kroger was out. I might go back since the sale doesn't end until Saturday. I have been under the weather and just burned out on just about everything. So, this trip was a big deal for me.

The main items I was excited about getting were, of course, the Go Soups but also those Pampers wipes, why? Because they were FREE after coupon! :) My Kroger has a policy where you can only use 5 like coupons in the same transaction. So, they let me do two. This is why I was that crazy coupon lady. I also had to use mostly printable coupons because I have been behind on getting my papers. :/ You spend more when you don't do the work.

I was so excited to receive this book from Harper Collins through One2One Network, so I could read it and share my thoughts with all of you. I know I have said this before, but I am a former nanny. And being such I thought I knew everything about how to raise a child. Of course there is a huge difference between watching a child 24/7 and getting nights and weekends off.

"The Happiest Baby Guide to Great Sleep" explores how to make your child happy not just at night but all day long as well. I knew a few things he mentions, but there are some things that didn't even occur to me until I saw it written down, then it totally made sense.

SweetPea has been very good with sleep for the most part. She has her days. I love that this book includes how to transition them to a toddler bed, which is the next step for SweetPea.

I recommend this book for parents with babies, toddlers, and even older children! If your child has ever had a meltdown, I suggest buying this book. The advice he gives, may seem like common knowledge but he goes into the anatomy of how your child's brain works. And that alone is worth the read.



Dr. Karp provides easy "no-cry" tips that end infant and toddler bedtime struggles in just days and boost your little one's sleep fast. SweetPea never seemed to like swaddling but maybe I just didn't know how! Dr. Karp teaches how to enjoy the benefits - and avoid the risks - of swaddling. Can you believe many states are banning this ancient parenting tool? Karp says, Smart moms should do it. And he will teach them how to do it properly and safely.

My niece has to sleep with a TV on, but she seems so tired and never wants to concentrate on school work. Dr. Karp teaches the importance of powering down. He states, Staring at bright screens at night (TVs, computers, phones) can wreak a toddler and a parent’s sleep.

Do you use white noise machines with your little one? My former boss did, but I never found them appealing (to me). Dr. Karp shares what’s the best white noise (and which ones worsen sleep).
