Choose Plant-Based Protein and Save at Publix

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pinnacle Foods & Boulder Brands. All opinions are my own.

One of my tips I tell people to help save money on their grocery meals is to have one night that is meatless. So when we are creating our meal plan we have what we like to call “Meatless Mondays.” And what you may find surprising is that you can choose plant-based foods without giving up taste, convenience, or quality.

Some of our favorite go-to meatless products are Earth Balance® Original Buttery Spread, Gardein™ Seven Grain Crispy Tenders, and Birds Eye® Steamfresh® Southwest Style Protein Blends. Birds Eye is located within the frozen vegetable section, Earth Balance is located in the butters/spreads section, and Gardein can be found in the frozen/naturals section by Birds Eye Steamfresh Protein Blends. Protein Blends are packed with protein and offer nutrient rich vegetables, grains and beans that offer additional nutritional benefits. They have 10 grams of plant-based protein per serving and are high in vitamin C, and iron. They perfectly cook in the bag and are ready in minutes. Birds Eye Steamfresh Superfood Blends are a line of ready-to-go dishes made from nutrient-rich vegetables, grains and fruits, making it easy to enjoy nature’s healthiest ingredients. Made with no artificial flavors or preservatives and an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin A and C. Gardein™ Plant-Based Foods are a wholesome range of tasty plant-based foods with a meaty texture. Made from soy, wheat and pea proteins, vegetables and ancient grains (quinoa, amaranth, millet and kamut®). Gardein is easy to digest and free of cholesterol, trans and saturated fats. The majority of Gardein foods are a good source of fiber and low fat too. Gardein is also 100% vegan – meaning it is animal and dairy free.

We like to enjoy Birds Eye® Steamfresh® Southwest Style Protein Blends as a go-to staple dish in our house. Birds Eye Steamfresh Superfood Blends are a line of ready-to-go dishes made from grains and fruits. They are so convenient because they cook perfectly in the bag and are ready in minutes. Protein Blends are packed with 10 grams of plant-based protein per serving and are high in iron. You can find them in the frozen vegetable section.

There you go, a complete meal that was easy to make, and the whole family enjoyed! Plus you can save by visiting www.GetTheSavings.com/ChoosePlantBased to save $1 off any 1 Gardein item, $1 off any 1 Earth Balance Buttery Spread, 2 for $5 Birds Eye Protein Blends, and 2 for $6 Birds Eye Superfood Blends from 2/17/18-3/2/18.

  9. We already use Birds Eye Steamed Vegetables. Pop them in the microwave and waalaa!! We have a night when we have soup for dinner. That goes well with the kids. They love soup like we do. These are some good suggestions! Thank you for sharing!
