Heal, Don't Conceal Your Rosacea Symptoms with Prosacea

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Prosacea. All opinions are 100% mine.

Since I became pregnant with my daughter, I have had red bumpy, dry spots on my face. When I was pregnant with her, they were all over my body. After a few months, the ones on my arms and legs went away, but the ones on my face remained. When I had her, the spots on my face never went away. When I got pregnant with my son, the spots started to get a little better although I didn't try any special products. But almost as soon as he was born, the spots started returning. These spots are known as rosacea. At my worst point, I couldn't go outside and sweat because my face would burn. I couldn't use certain products and still can't use certain soaps.

I recently was sent Prosacea® Medicated Rosacea Gel to try. Prosacea Medicated Rosacea Gel is a Dermatologist recommended medicated treatment that effectively controls rosacea symptoms, like redness, bumps, and irritation. I have been extremely embarrassed by these red spots since they started to appear and have taught myself new make-up techniques to try to cover them up. That's the great thing about Prosacea®, it does not cover up rosacea symptoms but actually controls them. It is a light, water-based formulation that goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and provides a flawless finish even under makeup. So I have added it to my beauty routine. The aloe it contains helps soothe dry, reddened skin.

Prosacea Results

Prosacea® is the #1 over-the-counter rosacea treatment with a 90% satisfaction among users. I have only been trying it for a few days, but I can tell that there has been a little difference already. In the pictures you'll notice I am still very red beside my left nose because my son scratched me there the other day and this product can't be used on broken skin.

Like with everything in your medicine cabinet, please make sure to read and follow all label instructions before using.

  1. I do not have rosacea, but I'd imagine it would make you incredibly self conscious. I have a friend with rosacea and she's tried just about everything to cover her red spots! I will definitely tell her about something like this (if she hasn't tried it already) You can really see the difference from your left and right picture. In the right one your (red) skin looks much lighter! Seems like a great product to me!

  2. I recently started seeing signs of rosacea. I've always washed my face with extremely hot water because I thought it helped get my skin cleaner, but recently read that can cause flare ups. So I've started using cold water and it has definitely helped. Glad to hear Prosacea had worked for you! Will definitely have to try.

  4. Since I am light skinned and also have rosacea one trigger I try to avoid is the sun-as far as makeup goes, the minimal is what I use, basically mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss while keeping my face moisturized. One tip I learned is if you are going to use something on your face on an area where rosacea is present, read the ingredients first before buying to make sure you can use it without flare ups and also use products that are natural or for sensitive skin.

  5. I usually wash my face in the shower sometimes with sensitive skin soap. I use warm water and don't rub too much. I also use sunscreen in the morning.

  6. I don't have rosacea but I'm glad to see there are OTC aids available to help mitigate the symptoms.
