Stamp Out Hunger {Get Your Donations Ready}

Stamp Out Hunger

It’s almost time for Stamp out Hunger!

The Stamp Out Hunger food drive is a yearly event. I missed it last year, but it seems to be by far the easiest way to donate and make a difference in your community! I wanted to give y'all a head start so you can start going through your pantry and gathering up a bag (or more) to leave at your mailbox on Saturday 5/11.

It’s so easy to participate! On Saturday, May 11th, simply leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, like canned Campbell’s soups, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal, next to your mailbox before the time of your regular mail delivery. Your letter carrier will then collect the donations and deliver them to food banks and pantries in your local community.

Campbell’s is a sponsor of this wonderful event. So be sure to add a few cans of Campbell’s soups to your Publix shopping list and you will make a difference to those in need in your neck of the woods.

There is no reason not to give because you just have to take the food as far as your mailbox!

I found the information for this program at IHeartPublix.

  2. We always do this. My husband's a mailman so I get to see the community spirit that goes behind it at the post office too. The spouses bring the kids in to help with stacking and sorting. It's fun. :)

  3. I don't know if they do this in Chicago. Anyway, I would have to go shopping to fill that bag. My hubby and I don't have a lot of food in our pantry. We try to eat all our food and then buy more, nothing goes to waste. Sheila Simmons aka The Frugal Exerciser
