Weekly Totals & a Twilight Rant + Linky

My friend decided she had to see that new movie everyone is talking about...what's it called? oh yeah 'Twilight'...Ugh...

I know this post has nothing to do with this but I just have to say those books are terrible. I usually get addicted to a series and read them the entire way through, like with 'Chronicles of Narnia', 'Harry Potter', or even 'Gossip Girls' (of course I was in high school when I read those).
But Stephenie Meyer is an irresponsible writer. She wrote Bella as this character 'that a girl could be' which is crap because it just means she couldn't invent an awesome female lead. PLUS it made the 'Shades of Grey' series difficult to stick with because I got sick of her. For those of you that don't know, '50 Shades of Grey' was originally written as fan fiction for 'Twilight'.
Now saying that, Meyer is also a TERRIBLE, completely HORRIBLE writer. She uses "there there". That should never be used. Yes, sometimes when speaking you may phrase something that way but when you are writing a book, it's called edit it before it's publish! It's like she wrote it one night, never looked it over, and said, "Hey I think I will try and make money on this since I'm bored with my life".
Saying all that, I liked the books better than the movies.
My reason?
My imagination is better than their acting.

  2. Hilarious! I knew that Shades of Grey and Twilight had to have some connection. I'm really not digging the pop literature, where it is all about crappy drama and not good writing. Found you on the hop.

    Have a great day.

  3. I would love it if you would link these up to my Frugal Friday With Marsha posts each Friday! I love the inspiration to keep going...as I have a pile of coupons on my desk to get in to my binder and several Sunday inserts yet to get cut out.

p.s. On the Farm Rich give away when I click to give you Klout, it tells me that you don't have an account.

  5. Thanks for linking up with us at the #MTMmixer again this week! Awesome saving by the way. I'm a coupon girl...nothing extreme but I love using coupons and seeing that total go down down down down. The twilight movies are horrible...at least the first one was I couldn't ever bring myself to watch another...and I am not a 50 shades fan...I'm still stuck half way through the second book. I'm in no rush to finish!

  7. Wow, what an awesome blog. I wish I would have discovered your blog before the holidays. I save a lot on clothing items, but i have the hardest time getting into the grocery coupons, it get to be discouraging when I see all the coupons that I don't need and barely any of the ones I do need.
