How To Make Better Use Of Your Precious Time

Planning our time well is great for us. It allows us to be productive and motivated. It allows us to get more done and enjoy our downtime more. Truthfully, there really is nothing better than being organized. So, let’s see some quick tips that will allow you to make things much easier!

How To Make Better Use Of Your Precious Time

Make a schedule

The importance of planning cannot be overstated. Otherwise, a morning "of work" can quickly translate into 4 hours spent hanging out on Facebook. And of course, then it's lunch break…in short, a wasted morning. But that's okay, you can still do your job tomorrow, right? Schedule everything, such as when you will work, what tasks you have to do, and if you have any life admin to take care of. Plan your shopping well, maybe you want to look at grocery delivery which will give you a little more time back.

Get rid of bad habits

Stop wandering from task to task by planning your program. And stick to it. Start by setting aside 2 hours of drawing (or reading, or painting, or writing) between 10 a.m. and noon. You can also choose to do this for the most productive 2 hours of your day and save the most boring activities for the end of the day or week. If you already have a full-time job and can't find the energy to develop your artistic talents outside of your working hours, don't hesitate to organize your weekends too.

Are you distracted?

Distraction is your number one enemy. If you continually check your emails (or Instagram, or Facebook, or the best cat GIFs), you won't get far. Not only distractions keep you from completing the task you need to accomplish, but they are also very strong to reduce your creativity to nothingness. Unable to concentrate to gather enough neurons to find the good ideas you seek. If you can't seem to hold back on your own, download an app that will help you stay on the right path.

One thing after another

Now that you know what your priorities are, focus on one thing at a time. You may be tempted to switch from one thing to another as you take inspiration, but, like distractions, it forces your brain to juggle different activities and stunts your creativity. Give yourself time to mull over and focus on a problem to find the best solutions.

Remove gadgets!

With all the gadgets available today, nothing is easier than finding yourself working in bed. Fatal error! Do not work in places that you associate with relaxation. A comfortable bed is not going to encourage you to work. Look at separating these areas, because when you go to bed, you can learn to switch off. We sleep better when we have a calm mind. If we allow ourselves to switch off and not think about tomorrow, we’ll find we drift off much quicker. Also, don't hesitate to decorate your office with the images that inspire you to help get you in the mood.
