FUNdraise For A BIG Cause with Chuck E. Cheese + Giveaway

 Did you know April is National Volunteer Month? Chuck E. Cheese is ramping up for NVM with a nationwide fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sister of America. Every single Chuck E. Cheese location across the country will donate 15% of sales from 3-9 p.m. on 3/31 to BBBS when guests mention the organization. They’re also doing a donation drive throughout April, where families can donate $1, $5 or any amount of their choice to help BBBS match “Littles” with “Big” mentors. When kids donate, they get to write their name on a Pin-Up ticket (picture below) and stick it on the wall to show their support.
 
 
I use to LOVE going to Chuck E. Cheese as a kid. And I love that they are giving back to a great organization. This is a great way for parents to talk to their kids about giving back in a way that isn’t too jarring. Trying to explain why it’s important to help some charities - like homeless shelters or cancer support groups - can be a little scary for kids when you get into the details, but it’s easy to talk about how BBBS matches kids (who might be having a hard time) with really nice, smart grown-ups to help them make good choices.

Who needs a girls' night out? I know I sure do! I'm not too picky. My best friend and I usually just do a sleep over at her house or mine with our girls. We haven't done in FOREVER and with my birthday coming up, I think we just might have one! Our essentials include movies, popcorn, chocolate, and WINE. I was recently introduced to a very cool line called Mommy's Time Out.
 
 
Mommy's Time Out is a line of delicious, affordable wines made from Italian grapes that make great gifts or a fun girls night out. Mom deserves a break, and Mommy's Time Out is a perfect way to sit back and relax. I received the Garganega Pinot Grigio to try out. This great wine has clean citrus flavors with a pleasant fruity aroma. It is vinified from some of the fines grapes from the Delle Venezie region in Italy. They are a great complement to food, or may be served as an aperitif.
