You'll love the smell of the tree! Growing up in Oregon, I've always had a real tree. This year we got a very real looking fake one! Guess we've switched places :)
ReplyDeleteLove real trees! Hate the mess!

The video is too cute! Thanks for sharing. I'm back to WW business this week with a blog makeover. Still working on it but would love to know what you think of it so far.
ReplyDeleteVery adorable video and never had a real Christmas tree either growing up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! We live in NYC and the trees come to us, there are tree vendors that spring up on every block the day after Thanksgiving. Sort of wish we had the farm experience. Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun expedition. We haven't had a real tree in years. I do miss the smell, but not the mess.
ReplyDeleteThis is what had me iffy. But Hubby says he will make sure to water it & so far has been doing a great job. The mess has been very minimal & the tree still looks fresh.
DeleteOh what fun getting the annual Christmas tree! I bet your little girl had a blast, huh? I love your photos - so festive! Your video is precious. It's so fun to see wee one's grasp learning the basics. Anywho, have a happy WW!
ReplyDeleteI think the smell of a Christmas tree make it seem more Christmassy, I liked your photos :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a treetastic week ;-)
Love real trees! Thanks for hosting :)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of a pine is that? Here in California, we get either Douglas Firs or Noble Firs in the lots. If we wish to go to a farm, all there are are eldaricas.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure. We live in Georgia, so we have a little more variety since we have more natural wells & such.
DeleteOh how fun! I wish there were tree farms around me… haha, too hot in Florida!
ReplyDeleteTrees smell wonderful but I hate the idea of cutting them so have invested in live trees several times, and either keep them potted for a couple of years or plant in the ground after the holidays.
ReplyDeleteThis is how I was too, but as they say on FRIENDS "They were meant to be Christmas trees, if we don't let them be Christmas trees, their spirit will die."
DeleteHopefully your tree will fit into your house better than Clark Griswold's tree fit into his.

HAHA! We watched Christmas Vacation the night before going to get our tree. Hubby put the lights up the day before yesterday & said he was going to gradually grow our light stash so we can"Griswald it" every year. LOL
DeleteLooks like a great family outing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! My family only had a real tree 1 time. It was so fun to pick it out.
ReplyDeleteMy entry is #39. Come by and vote for us 1 last time?
Cutting down your own tree. It must smell wonderful in your home. I love the pine smell and not from a cane. Your songstress is really in rare form today isn't she :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to get a tree! We get real trees too and will get ours on Monday, after my oldest's birthday :)
ReplyDeleteWhen is your oldest's birthday? My daughter turns three on Monday, but we are celebrating on Sunday.
DeleteCan't wait to pick out our tree this year! One of my fave smells!
ReplyDeleteOh, how awesome! I've never done a real tree before, let alone at an actual farm. It looks like a nice tradition.
