Our First Real Tree {WW #56 + LINKY}

We have never had a real Christmas tree. My husband did when he was younger, but I don't really remember ever having one. So we decided that if my husband promised to water it, then we would get a real tree this year. It was fun cutting it down.

You'll love the smell of the tree! Growing up in Oregon, I've always had a real tree. This year we got a very real looking fake one! Guess we've switched places :)

Congrats! We live in NYC and the trees come to us, there are tree vendors that spring up on every block the day after Thanksgiving. Sort of wish we had the farm experience. Thanks for sharing...

Oh what fun getting the annual Christmas tree! I bet your little girl had a blast, huh? I love your photos - so festive! Your video is precious. It's so fun to see wee one's grasp learning the basics. Anywho, have a happy WW!

What kind of a pine is that? Here in California, we get either Douglas Firs or Noble Firs in the lots. If we wish to go to a farm, all there are are eldaricas.

Trees smell wonderful but I hate the idea of cutting them so have invested in live trees several times, and either keep them potted for a couple of years or plant in the ground after the holidays.

Cutting down your own tree. It must smell wonderful in your home. I love the pine smell and not from a cane. Your songstress is really in rare form today isn't she :) Thanks for sharing.

Oh, how awesome! I've never done a real tree before, let alone at an actual farm. It looks like a nice tradition.
