The Next Step of Healthy Living with Nebula Genomics

I have been having gastrointestinal issues for as long as I can remember. Too much information? Maybe, but I honestly feel like a lot of people especially women have this issue. I did have my gallbladder out this past August and that was finally an answered to my pain. But I am still having other issues as well. Recently I also started having severe migraines as well that I have convinced myself is an autoimmune disease. I Google everything and am squeamish about going to the doctor. So, I decided to invest in at home whole genome sequencing test kit from Nebula Genomics.

Nebula Genomics DNA Test Kit review

I received a complimentary Nebula Genomics DNA Test Kit to provide this review. All opinions are my own. #NebulaDNAReview #ad

Whole Genome Sequencing is the only type of DNA testing that decodes 100% of your DNA. With a Deep Nebula home test, each letter of your DNA is read on average, 30 times which means a higher accuracy in results. A simple swab test is all it takes! Nebula Genomics gives you everything there is to know about your genetic code for a few hundred dollars and with tenacious blockchain-based privacy.

First let's talk about the reasons you might be interested in genetic testing:
- To learn whether you have a genetic condition that runs in your family before you have symptoms
- To learn about the chance a current or future pregnancy will have a genetic condition
- To diagnose a genetic condition if you (Did you know that 72% of rare diseases are genetic and 300 million people worldwide are impacted?)
- To understand and guide your cancer prevention or treatment plan

Nebula Genomics is a genome sequencing test which is the largest genetic test. It looks at all of a person’s DNA, not just the genes. Large-scale genetic tests can have findings unrelated to why the test was ordered in the first place (secondary findings). Examples of secondary findings are genes associated with a predisposition to cancer or rare heart conditions when you were looking for a genetic diagnosis to explain a person's developmental disabilities.

So how do you test at home?
After ordering your kit, you'll receive it within two weeks. When you get your kit, you will receive everything you need for success to swab at home. Complete instructions come with a vial, swab, and return envelope. Please do not forget to register your kit before closing your envelope and sending off your results.

When you create and log into your account, you will also see questions about your lifestyle etc. to answer so there can be a whole picture created for you. You cannot drink or eat anything 30 minutes before swabbing, so take this into account when you are ready to use your kit. Also do not collect a sample when you are sick (bacterial or viral infection in the oral cavity) as this will come back with your result not being able to be processed. After Nebula Genomics receives your sample, your results will be available in about 12-14 weeks. I will update this post with more information once I receive my results.

Nebula Genomics will never disclose your Genetic Data for research purposes without you first choosing to participate in such research. If you do choose to participate in scientific research, they may also disclose your Genetic Data to those third parties that they partner with to conduct such research.

The reality is genetic testing especially at home isn't an exact science. I found I found it beneficial for my needs. If you are prone to worry though, it may be not something you want to invest in. You can purchase your whole genome sequencing kit for now only $149 (normally $299).

Have you thought about at-home genetic testing? What do you think of Nebula Genomics?
