Housewife Bootcamp: My Least Favorite Household Chore

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

What's your least favorite household chore? Since I figured out my laundry situation, my least favorite chore is always going to be emptying the dish washer (and it's my husband's too). Thank goodness I have a dish washer though because although the picture below is a common occurrence in our household, I couldn't imagine if I actually had to clean them by hand.

Dirty Dishes

With all of these dirty dishes, I despise when I have to wash most of them by hand after they have left the dish washer!
And then insert Cascade Platinum Pacs.

Cascade Platinum Pacs

Cascade Platinum Pacs deliver the most powerful clean available from Cascade while simultaneously helping to maintain the sparkling look of your clean dishwasher interior. They feature an advanced triple action recipe that is specially designed to leave dishware virtually spot-free and help prevent the build-up of hard-water film on dishwasher walls.

Cascade Platinum

Why do YOU need Cascade Platinum Pacs?

Powers away tough, 24 hour stuck-on food

Eliminates the need to pre-wash dishes

Helps maintain the look of new machines and helps prevent additional hard-water build-up

Delivers exceptional dishware shine

Presentation & Preparation

Now, more than ever, people eat with their eyes, and the evidence is all over sites like Facebook and Instagram. With that in mind, Top Chef judge and editor of Food+Wine magazine, Gail Simmons, has partnered with Cascade to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation. She’s encouraging everyone to “keep their presentation sparkling with Cascade Platinum, which keeps dishes perfect for anytime entertaining and impromptu guests.” To do that, you’ll need to know the correct way to load a dishwasher as seen in the video below…

Want to learn more about Cascade? Check out Cascade's Facebook page. Also make sure to check out Cascade's “My Platinum” Instagram contest. It’s a four week contest where fans are encouraged to upload photos according to weekly themes. Visit the contest page for information on how to enter and submit images. Each week, TWO contestants will be selected to receive a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher and ONE grand prize winner will receive a Platinum kitchen make-over. Be sure to register in addition to upload the photo with the #MyPlatinum hashtag and also tag @MyCascade.

  1. I love these things. I was skeptical when I got mine, but once I used them ONLY ONE TIME I noticed a big difference in both my dishes and my dishwasher.

  2. I don't have a dishwasher so it is lots of paper plates and plastic silverware. Not exactly classy, but much easier. Having to wash all the pots and pans and cups and bowls is annoying enough!

    1. I don't know how I would live without my dishwasher. LOL We went without one for a brief period and I cried. HAHA

I couldn't imagine buying mostly throw always. My recycle bin would be piled high! :)

  5. Dishes are definitely not my favorite thing! I could've sworn that I was already a fb fan, but I am for sure now. =0)
I see you have the myfitnesspal widget...I've been meaning to sign up for that, so you just gave me a reminder (that I so badly needed).

  6. Don't think anyone really likes to do dishes, but I find if I do them as I go along, it seems like much less of a chore. If I wait until there is a whole sink it is an insurmountable mountain of work. I rarely use the dishwasher as I don't want to let the dishes sit dirty that long, but I have a friend who uses hers for all her dishes [mom of 4 vs. single person]

    1. I use mine every day and sometimes twice a day. I feel like it's running all the time and that's full dish washer too. LOL
