Losing Weight with SlimQuick Pure Protein Powder

I received complimentary products to provide this review. All opinions are my own.

I am trying to kick my weight loss journey back into gear. We joined a gym September of last year, but we stopped going when Peanut got sick, then the holidays happened, and then Hubby got his new job with the long commute and now we are back at square one. I wanted to get bathing suit body ready (I don't do bikinis, LOL), but alas that didn't happen. With my daughter out for the summer though, we are going to stay super busy. So what I am going to do on those mornings when I need to hit the road, but there's no time for breakfast?

I recently had the opportunity to review SlimQuick Pure Protein Powder. I have used protein powders in the past when I have been trying to lose weight. They can taste terrible or have a weird consistency, but SlimQuick doesn't. This is my favorite smoothie recipe. When my wisdom tooth was coming through (over 5 years ago now) and the pain was so bad I couldn't chew anything, my Hubby taught me this smoothie recipe and I have been in love ever since.

10 Reasons To Invest In A Glasstic Glass Water Bottle!

What's in YOUR Work Out Bag?

I received free products to provide this post. All opinions are my own.

I am trying to start the New Year off right and get back into the groove of going to the gym. My goal for this year was to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I THOUGHT I was fortunate to not have to put my stuff in a locker at the gym. I use to just put what I need in my diaper bag and leave it in the gym nursery. I then would carry my phone, keys, and wallet around with me. This can get quite cumbersome, so I recently invested in a lock and a decent work out bag.

I don't carry the diaper bag anymore, since I am breastfeeding and they don't change diapers. I just go out to the car to change Peanut. Anyways, here are a few essentials that I have decided to keep in my gym bag.

Calorease Weight Loss Management Review
Website - Facebook - Twitter - Pinterest - Google+

I accepted to review Calorease before I found out I was pregnant. I love being a blogger and having a family lifestyle blog. This way I can share my husband's experience with Calorease, a weight loss management pill, with all of you. My husband has very busy lifestyle where he is always on the go and eating fatty meals. I try to provide healthier meals for him when he is home, but the reality is he works although he didn't loss a large amount of weight, 60+ hours every week. When he remembered to take Calorease before he ate, he didn't feel jittery which ones of his main concerns and why he was so nervous about taking it. He decided to have a turkey sandwich one day and took Calorease and I'm assuming he didn't eat enough fat that day, because he was very bloated, which Calorease notes as one of the side effects. I am excited to try Calorease for myself in order to lose the inevitable post-pregnancy weight. Below are some more specs on this awesome product, that doesn't claim to be a miracle weightloss drug, which I love.

Calorease Weightloss Management Pill Review

Just the facts:

- It's easy to use Calorease. Simply take two tablets with a fat-containing meal three times a day. But stay consistent for the best results.
- If taken as recommended, results can be seen in about 2-3 weeks. Keep in mind that Calorease is not a license to overeat, nor is it a magic bullet for quick weight loss.
- There is no program or special diet involved with taking Calorease. A reasonable, balanced and nutritious fat-containing diet is recommended. Click here for sample meal plans.
- Calorease does not contain gluten, lactose, yeast, wheat, sugar, salt, egg, soy, dairy, artificial colors, sweeteners or preservatives. It is naturally sourced from grain and is suitable for vegans.
- A convenient blister pouch provides 1 serving (2 tablets) so it's easy to take on the go. A 90-tablet pack of Calorease retails for $29.99

Did you know?

It's understood that fiber can bind with dietary fat and prevent fat from being digested. But since most fibers bind fat at a 1:1 ratio, you would have to consume unrealistic amounts of ordinary fiber to gain any benefit--until now. The unique, pantented fiber in Calorease (FBCx) binds up to 9 times its weight in dietary fat, reducing up to 15,000 calories per month from a normal diet.

You can order your own Calorease, and as a special promotion for my readers, Calorease is offering up their 90-tablet pack for only $14.99! Here's how you can order, just visit calorease.com/buy and enter code 4MOMS.

Weighing In Weekly, Why I still hate shopping...

Since I have lost 30 pounds, my clothes fit differently so I thought I would head down to Khol's and buy some new clothes.

I tried on 5 different tops and 4 pairs of pants. And none of them fit right. I either looked pregnant, or you could see every roll.

The issue with clothes at this point isn't weight, it's extra skin from losing 30 pounds of baby/fluid and 20 pounds of fat. I can not even believe I am admitting this out loud.
(Yes, I said 20 because I gained 10 lbs between my 6 week post-partum and 1 year PP check-ups.)

I lost another lb and a half. I weighed myself Thursday at 3pm and Friday at 8am and I stayed the same, so I definitely lost it. :)

So now I have 18 lbs to go until I can get to a point I'm comfortable at so we can try for baby number two. :D
I do NOT want the blood pressure issues I had with Sweet Pea. My mom had BP issues with me but only due to weight as well, I was the only one she had BP issues with and the only one she was overweight with.

I have been doing the 10k for pink app. But I just started. I have definitely changed my portion sizes and what I eat. Diabetes and high blood pressure run in my family. The main thing that has helped me thus far, is going to the doctor and getting medicine to help with the thyroid issue I didn't even know I had. How embarrassing is that to reveal?!

But that is my suggestion to everyone who is struggling losing weight. I had changed my eating habits and still the scale wasn't shifting. So go to the doctor and get yourself checked out. :)

2012: A Year In Review

The year started warm. So warm we went to the park and took this picture:

In February, I started watching my friend's daughter
who is a month younger than Sweet Pea.
What a crazy ride taking care of two toddlers has been.

At the end of February/beginning of March,
Sweet Pea started walking and
our breastfeeding journey came to an end.

Her 15 month check-up was March 11 but
I'm a terrible mom who didn't write down the stats.

We also did silly stuff like this:

In May we had a yard sale at the Hubby's store.

Got into a car accident at the beginning of June.

Both the girls were in the car. Scary and life changing. I still feel guilty everyday although everyone was okay. And there isn't a day that goes by where I don't worry whether they remember or it scarred them and whether my husband has resentment towards me for putting our already limited incomed family on an even tighter financial hold.

We bought a Saturn Vue from Car Max and THE NEXT DAY the transmission went out.

But looking back, it was a blessing because I have NO IDEA how we would have been able to afford it.

We went to the lake a few times.
And Sweet Pea still didn't care of it.

Sweet Pea went to the zoo for the first time!

The Hubby and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. :)
But we have no pictures of us together and celebrated by going to his friend's birthday party. :/

She also got HFM and a UTI at almost the same time. :/

I decided to really make my blog public that August. I wanted to maybe make some money, hopefully get some free stuff to review, but most importantly, I wanted to have a hobby that I enjoyed. I was home all the time without a car and we live out in the middle of no where. I needed some kind of social interaction, even if was just through a computer screen.

I was able to provide my first endorsed review.

One of Hubby's store credit card numbers was stolen in 2007, he didn't even try to take the proper steps to fight this issue. Credit companies kept calling and calling. but he ignored them. He went to court and the judge told him he should settle and that it didn't look good for him because apparently in the paper work he signed when applying for the card, it said they could sell the debt. So we got put into an even tighter financial hold.

September we went to Florida with my in-laws. And a great time was had by all.
You can read about vacation HERE and HERE.

Just recently, I reached 400 GFC followers. And it feels amazing. I started at 10 and in only a few months, I feel like when I put my many ramblings out into the vast space of the Internet, I am now actually heard.

My car accident was a blessing in disguise. I got a terrible bruise under my arm from the seat belt.
Under the bruise I found small knot. No biggie, the bruise was massive. I had a regular scheduled OB/GYN visit shortly after the accident, she said to keep any eye on it and if the swelling didn't go down, I should come back. I had a physical scheduled in September so I figured I would talk to my doctor about it then if I didn't notice any improvement.
The doctor said he thought it was just the bruise but that I should go get a mammogram.

My baby girl turned two.

I put off scheduling the mammogram. I have no idea why but the swelling was going down and the knot was getting smaller so I just wasn't worried. Then I noticed another small, lump a little further away.
The 18th would be the day of my mammogram but they rescheduled until after the first of the year.
I'm nervous and the anticipation of not knowing is killing me. My sister had a mammogram when I was around the age of ten or so making her like 19. Nothing was wrong, they said that is just the way her body is. Hopefully the odds are in my favor. But the not knowing is the worst of it.

But a good thing to know going into the New Year I am 25 lbs lighter than I was at the start of 2012 and I can wear my wedding rings again. :)

New Year Resolutions! - Creative Bioscience 90 Day Challenge

Can you believe 2013 is right around the corner?
Have you made any New Year Resolutions yet?
I have decided to change up my weight loss routine
(which you can read about HERE)
and try the Creative Bioscience 90 Day Challenge! :)

Why am I taking this challenge?

I want to get at a healthy weight. I have been on a journey to lose weight and am reaching a plateau. I wasn't able to lose weight for so long because I had an undiscovered thyroid issue. Now that I have that under control and have lost 25 lbs (my toddler weighs that BTW), I am reaching a point in my diet and exercise routine where I am just not losing as much and although I have changed up my exercises, I feel I need to do something to give myself an extra oomph.

I am going to be using a product called The 30 Day Diet. The 30 Day Diet combines clinically supported herbal extracts such as Lychee Fruit Extract, African Mango, and Raspberry Ketones for weight loss, increased energy, and greater appetite control. What I love about Creative Bioscience is that they offer 24/7 Access to their Exclusive Diet Support Team in case I should have any questions about the product or my diet at any time.

What are my goals?

I have finally reached my pre-pregnancy weight. Which was milestone number one but I still have a long way to go. My ultimate goal is to be at a healthy BMI (Body Mass Index) again.

Do any of you want to join me?

Click HERE for more information about Creative Bioscience's 90 Day Challenge. :)

Thank you for all your continued support with my weightloss journey and wish me luck in the future!

I will make sure to continue to update you with my progress over the next 90 days.

Weekly Weigh-In: #10

Yes, apparently it has been 10 weeks since I started to share my commitment to lose weight publicly. Of course you know, I was into it at first but I have only been really dedicated for the past month and a half. But in that time I have now lost a total of 15.7 pounds! That means since last week I have lost 4.7 pounds.

LilySlim Weight loss tickers

And you might be thinking to yourself, "She has to be lying, that is too much in a week". But see it's not. And the reason is, I was that much overweight before. I am around 10 pounds away from my pre-baby weight and I was over-weight before. So I still have a LONG way to go.

It's crazy how different your body is after having a baby I was thinking it was all fat and maybe the reason my body is different is also because of the weight change but I think it's a mixture of both.

I was hoping to have a picture of me wearing my wedding bands or something cute to show you. But, alas, I still can't fit into them. Hopefully soon. Thank you for following me on journey thus far, however inconsistent I have been telling you. :)

Weekly Weigh-In: Week #3...or is it 5? maybe 6?

I kind of fell off this band wagon. Yes, I stopped blogging about it but that doesn't mean I fell off the weight loss journey band wagon!

I have actually lost 11 pounds according to WiiFit (BTW I hate that it 'groans' when I step on it, like I'm hurting it or something). Tomorrow I have an appointment at the doctor's so we will see how much I have lost according to their scales.

We went to the Georgia National Fair on Saturday. I wanted to ride this ride with my daughter. I had trouble getting in and getting Sweet Pea in too was no piece of cake. I seriously just wanted to cry. And although my mother-in-law says she can see a difference, this made me feel discouraged because there were many rides I couldn't ride because of my weight.

But I'm on the right path and I have to try and remember that. I have totally changed my eating habits. I don't eat after 7 p.m., I don't snack on salty or sugary foods like I use to, and I have cut my portion sizes by more than half. I aim to work out 45 minutes, 5 times a week. To be more realistic it has been like 30 minutes, 3 times a week. But that's more than I was doing before. And that is on top of housework. Which by the way, working out has given me more energy to do housework. Who would have thought?

Still not comfortable with any pictures but I do feel comfortable enough to leave a weight loss ticker on my blog, and that's something right? :)

MM and WWW and the Inspiration

This week's Wednesday's Weekly Weigh-in will also be Motivational Monday since I apparently took it off for Labor Day. I am still at a plateau and that is probably because of Dragon*Con and eating WAY unhealthy. But since I mentioned Dragon*Con, this weeks (LATE) Motivational Monday is:

Rock your inner NERD!

I love Dragon*Con. Even in the huge mass of people, I feel safe. It is where I belong. I am so grateful that my husband and LDOD introduced me to the awesomeness that is Dragon*Con.

Dragon*Con is a place where everyone gets together and it doesn't matter if you a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, or just there to party...or even a random Auburn fan, you are welcomed.

While waiting in the ridiculous line to get our badges, the hubby and enjoyed conversations with people of all fandoms and nationalities. People that didn't necessarily agree with our politics but listened to our point of view and were respectful throughout the entire conversation.

I sound so cheesy when I say this, but: Why can't everyday be like Dragon*Con? And everyone be like Con-goers?

Don't be afraid of who you are.

As the wise Dr. Seuss once said:

"Be who are and say what you feel, because those who mind, don't matter and those who matter, don't mind."

Wednesday's Weekly Weigh-In: Week #2

So today I don't really have anything to report except I have been super stressed out and haven't made time for working out. I am stuck at limbo for another week. But the good news is my Wii Fit thinks I should be 20 instead of 26 which makes me a happy girl! So how is everyone else doing on their diets/workouts?

Dragon*Con is this weekend and maybe by next year I will finally get the outfit of my dreams. (Hubby and I each have a deal that when we get below 200 we can get something we really want as long as it's under $200.)

Please feel free to post your link to your blog, video, or picture of your weight loss journey and how you did this week. Thanks!

Motivational Monday, Week #1

"There are always gonna be a million reasons not to do something."
- The Office: Boys and Girls

Stop making excuses.

So for our first motivational Monday I thought I would get to the core of mine and I'm sure a number of other people's problem...we make 'reasons' why we can't do something.

You complain about never seeing your friends because you have a child or a new job or just 'life got in the way' (I use that one more than I would like to admit). You have to make time for the things that matter. So do it.

You need to lose weight but say I already wake up too early (to exercise), I can't afford a gym membership or work out equipment, I can't afford to eat healthy...there is always a reason. Always an excuse. But if you want something bad enough you have to make it happen.

I'm unhappy with my career but I'm scared to leave, it's the only thing I know, the job market is bad. Then stay at your job but actively look for another one.

Sometimes you have to work for what you want. Sometimes you have to do stuff you don't want to do, so you can get to where you want. That's called life.

But if you keep making excuses, you will never be happy.

 Pin It!! :D

Wednesday's Weekly Weigh-In : Week #1

So I thought about doing a weekly post about my weight loss journey but I don't know if I quite feel comfortable yet. I am over 200 pounds and have a ways to go. I want to get to 160 although my 'ideal' weight is suppose to be 130-140 because I am so short. But I was this weight when I graduated high school and would be happy with it. But my main goal is to just get under 200. I don't want all the blood pressure issues I had with my pregnancy with Sweet Pea.

So I am reaching out for encouragement. Please don't be critical as I am an emotional eater. :/ I'm reaching to find some kind of support network. Below I've added a link up system where others can post their videos, blog posts, pictures, whatever, of your weight this week and how you are progressing. I'm hoping to start recording videos as well by next week. And to also give everyone a more detailed layout of what I'm doing to loss and hopefully I will get to a point where I can encourage others.

How does this sound to everyone else? Completely ridiculous? Completely crazy? Well maybe I need to lose my mind a little because in the current mind-set I am in, I'm over weight, under exercised, and eat too much chocolate.

This please share your story:

Weight Loss: Week 2

Last week my goal was to work out at least every day. I found out at the doctor that I have gained 9 lbs since I have had my daughter. So not only did I keep all the baby weight but I also gained 9 lbs. I blame this mostly on my inactivity. So last week that was my first goal. I went swimming or walking everyday. This week, my goal is to make sure I don't eat after 8 pm. I feel if I make small changes and continue with them, that they will become habits and I will continually do them. So *fingers crossed* that I can stick with it. We are going to Florida in September and I am dreading buying a bathing suit. So hopefully I can make the process not so horrible by improving my body a little.

So do any of you have any good ideas for self improvement?
