It’s exciting finally getting to enjoy a family vacation after a lockdown. The hubby and I got invited to experience Six Flag Over Georgia's Fright Fest. I was so excited because I haven't been since I was a kid. The recommended age was 12+, so we decided to make a date night of it.

We experienced a behind the scenes experience and witnessed how each ghoulish creature is created by a team of make up artists. My husband's goal the entire night was to make sure I was scared and he would jump at me. It was actually a fun bonding experience and we felt like kids again. It was such a fun idea for a date night too!

My husband and I have decided that we are going to celebrate our anniversary with a trip every year. Whether we go on a large trip like the cruise we took to Mexico or even a small day visit to the mountains, we want to go somewhere. I understand that everyone celebrates their anniversaries differently, but this is how we have chosen to celebrates our going forward.

Summertime is almost here and that means vacation season is right around the corner. With so many places to visit and explore, it's hard to know which vacation spots to pick for your family. Here are a few family friendly destination ideas that are perfect for getting out and having an adventure with your kids.

This past week was Winter Break for our local schools so we decided to take a trip camping. I have mentioned how much we love camping before because it get us a nice little getaway without breaking the bank and all of our Family's Camping Essentials. Since we are Friends of the Parks and just found out about it, we decided to join this club where basically what that means is if we hike four of Georgia's canyons then we get a t-shirt. We actually have already hiked three of them last year with full intentions of returning.

Since it is cooler this time of year, we decided to head down south to explore Providence Canyon which is also referred to as Georgia's "Little Grand Canyon". Hiking did get a little hot since we couldn't feel the breeze and it was unseasonally hot when we went, but it was so worth it.

If you are anything like my family, then you are already planning you yearly trips. We take our annual Panama City Beach, FL trip during Fall Break, but by planning everything out at the beginning of the year we can save MORE while doing it.
