Since my husband has been losing weight and taking better care of himself, he has been feeling better and wants to show that. He has been exploring more wardrobe options, but he doesn't want to sacrifice comfort.

So I have been loving farmhouse décor. Now I am not obsessed with it and there are a few details I could live without, but I love using mason jars for everything and the simplicity of it. Since we have moved in our new home, I have been trying to upgrade our décor a little at a time.

Recently I received some bamboo shelves from Songmics that I decided to hang in my guest bathroom to add some life into that room. It is used quite frequently so it needed some easy to give it that little extra. You can use these shelves as free standing, but I chose to hang them.

I have been on a roll this year with printing pictures. I know so many people who are pregnant right now that I put together a HUGE list of Unique Baby Shower Gifts for the New Mom. My favorite gift idea though is to give a book instead of a card. Although appreciated, my children have their baby shower cards stuffed into a box somewhere. With a book you can write a sweet note inside the front cover, sign your name, date it, and you have given something that is useful and sure to be viewed often. They even make personalized story books now too.

I love babywearing my son. I wasn't aware of all the different types of wraps, carriers and slings out there with my daughter. I wish I had done more research about it. There is so much more info about babywearing out there to day. I love the hands-free ability to carry your child and how much easier it makes nursing on the go.

Many areas have baby wearing support groups, where you can learn to use different carriers and even borrow carriers to try out. Breastfeeding support groups (La Leche League, Breastfeeding USA, etc.) can also be a good place to try out a carrier & find out how to use one, since many breastfeeding moms use baby carriers. My sister-in-law is getting married in May, so the weekend before Easter I was invited to attend her bachelorette weekend in Helen, GA. I was a lot of fun and I think I even learned a few things about myself. But since we were in wine country, of course we attended a winery and I also brought a case of my own! Being the frugal mom that I am, I love ways to save money while still dressing things up. Making your own dressings is a great way to not only save money, but you can also make your dressings as flavorful as you want and you don't have to sacrifice quality. The best and easiest to make dressing is an olive oil vinaigrette.

The key to an awesome vinaigrette is 1 part vinegar to 3 parts olive oil and add salt, pepper to taste. Olive oil should just be a staple in every kitchen. It is so versatile. Because Olive oil has a high smoke point (400° F), it can handle anything from a light sauté to a deep (and deeply flavorful) fry. You can bake with olive oil, as well. My son transitioned to a big boy bed last year. He originally loved it, but now that it has time to settle, I think he was scared to get out of it initially because now he will not stay in it. He has been trying to sneak back into our bed and he will even try to sleep in the closet right outside our bedroom door. He has always been snugly sleeper and I think he just doesn't feel the snuggly comfort he craves in his big bed. I thought that by creating a comforting sleep space, then it might help him adjust a little better.

I have heard about the DockATot™ brand for a while now. Who do you show you love them this time of year? I try and show it all year long, but I love the sappy-ness of Valentine's Day.
